Just looking for opinions on a tuner that is simple to use and has alot of tunability. Anticipating a cam change and I was gonna drive to T&J for a tune, but thats a LONG way to drive. So, for under $500.00, anyone recommend a tuner that can adjust a/f ratio and timing across the board, and of course do the other expectable things as well. Didn't Bill Putnam use a programmable tuner when he did a cam swap?

They're pretty close but the SuperChips Tuner and the Diablo Predator Tuner both have their pros and cons.

If $500 is your budget, the Diablo will do you fine. If you're willing to spend a little more ($750-800) you can get the SuperChips Tuner which apparently has more options.

I think Stangnet is split 50 / 50 and honestly I'm not sure which one is best for me either.

for around $500 you can get the TwEECer RT with datalogging. There is a goog bit to learn but there are support forums and I have found them very helpful.

I went with the SCT Pro Drag Racer package (chip version) just before the cams so I could work through any idle issues that are related to the cams. I could have gotten the cheaper package but I wanted full control over everything in the PCM for my future upgrades.

Is the software easy to use? If Im correct, Bill, you had a dynotune done after your cam install. Was they dyno time just to see the results of the cam change hp increase, or was it for further tuning?
