Whats up with the BBK X-Pipe?

Don't be knocking those race bullets, they're loud and flow like open pipes...got me in trouble with the law too...now I run Spintech ProStreets and love 'em more than the Dynomax...but just 'cause it's $30 don't mean it's s**t...how much do you think the crappy ones Ford builds them with are worth ?

I just put on a Magnaflow O/R X pipe, and it sounds raspy to me. A little to raspy for a V8 car IMO. Sounds pretty good at idle, and not too bad at WOT, but a little much just driving around.
I was hoping more for the classic V8 muscle car sound, sounds like I might need an "H" instead of an "X".
What I noticed most though was how much less my car decelerated when letting off the gas, or downshifting. The stock pipe with cats must add a ton of backpressure.

I also do get a "loose metal" sound every once in a while, and I get a sound almost like an exhaust leak, but I think it is actually pinging. Anyone else run into issues like these?

leave the flowmasters on and get a mac off-road h- pipe u will love it!

You guys spend more ****ing money on exhaust than anything else switching them out just because you don't like how they sound...I spent around $750 total on my exhaust setup....bbk off-road x-pipe /w mil's and flowmasters. X-pipe was 400, mufflers + install = 250 + 80 for mils


you guys changing them in and out is over 1,000 total in just exhaust...

u spent $400 for that horrid sounding xpipe, i spent $120 when the mustangtuning xpipe was first put on the market and it sounds 100000008585005050508604984950920924309988643 times better than the BBK xpipe.

370+tax, close enough to 400...and yes its not horrid sounding...i love it. I think you guys just have fitting problems with yours..so it rattles....I didn't.

Agreed. Mine doesn't rattle, nor is it horrid sounding. Some people just like rasp, pop, & burble; myself included.
