Just an update. One of my wheels arrived damaged. So I am now waiting to get the warranty wheel before I can move forward on this project.

I did order my front tires. I went with Federal 595 RS-Pro tires because they were the only ones with a similar tread design to match the rear tires. I ended up having to go with 215/40ZR18. This is the widest size my installer would put on a 7” wheel. I wanted wider, but apparently the wheel is too narrower to go wider. Hopefully they result in the correct look I want.

I was hoping to open the thread to see the car sitting on the new wheels and tires....

Been thinking of this car a little bit lately. Were you planning on keeping it the same color if/when you have it repainted? I think I really like it - probably because it's not a color you see every day.

Funny you asked that. I’ve been giving the color choice a lot of thought. I obviously still have a lot of work to go before paint. Like bumpers and some minor dents here and there. But I found some left over paint from a previous project that I thought was the same color. So I sprayed that on the rear where it used to be primer to test it. Now that I pointed it out, you can’t unsee it. lol. But, with that said, the current color is growing on me. The color I sprayed on the back (which I thought was correct) is 1991 Chevy Dark Bright Teal Metallic 37. It’s close but bluer than the original color. I really like that color as well. I may end up with a color combo close to or in between the original and the Dark Bright Teal metallic.

Current plan is to drive it and enjoy it this summer. Hit some cruises and such. Then if I get to the body work, I may see about painting it this winter.

I’m just tired of it sitting for now. So I’m going to have some fun with it.
