Hey guys i did a search for 351w supercharger but to no avail, got a lot of 5.0 supercharger results but nothing definitive on a 351w with a blower. Will a 5.0 blower fit a 351w motor? What brackets need to be changed? I have a cowl hood so clearance is not an issue or if it is I'm not worried, this car is mainly going to be a track car, I'll make something work. I'd love to put a vortech YSI trim on it, just not sure what needs to be modified. The build is a forged 408 stroker, the rotating assembly showed up a few weeks ago, with a DSS Dart block (still waiting on the block it's taking it's jolly sweet time getting here from DSS), I haven't decided on heads yet, thinking of Kaase or Bluethunder but not sure if they will have an intake to fit my EFI system, i know Kaase only makes 351C style heads. Anyways, i just want to get a blower for this thing and make it "quick". Just want to know if there are off the shelf kits to fit 5.0 blowers to 351's or if there is some bracket fabbing that needs to be done.

I know you can get a SC for the 1st gen lightning which is a 351 so im sure it could be adapted.

The blower itself will likely be the same but the lower portion which bolts to the block will be different just like your typical 302 and 351 intakes.

EDIT...yeah i was thinking about a roots style supercharger...nevermind :D

Call around to the blower companies. i spoke with procharger and they said my P1 sc would fit but i would have to buy the bracket for the 351 from them for 300$

I'll try that. My combo is very similar to yours. Did you put the blower on your car yet? I did search summit and you can get an EFI 351w kit from Paxton, it's a Novi1500 but only pushes 7#'s of boost. I'd like a YSI trim Vortech if i can. Need to stiffen up the body damn good before I go throwing that huffer on there though. Thanks guys. I don't know why this is so hard to find a Blower swap package for a 351. You'd think it would be fairly readily available. Is a 351 not a common swap? I've just come to the pushrod side, I've always only owned Mod motor cars so i'm not too familiar with the Fox scene. I know 347's are the rage around my area but I want to go big, bad, and different.

A 351w is 2" wider than a 5.0. So you may have to make some brackets.

And a buddy of mine is rebuilding is drag car motor he has been running a set of kaase heads on it, it's a 351w block that is stroked and bored to 462. It make close to 800hp on the dyno. But its 14:1 comp. The heads are a C style heads.
