will pro-m mass air meter for 24lb work ok with 19lb?

ok heres my situation.
i need a new mass air meter.
i do plan on getting 24lb injectors for the car not far in the future... but not yet.

so theres no use in buying a pro-m meter for 19lb injectors for a month to get a different one to match the 24lbers

so if i just go ahead and put the one to match 24s on with the stockers.
will it run ****ty?
or will it be alright until i get the 24s ordered

Wont work, they got to be matched just hold off till you get your 24s

It'll work but your car will run like sheet. The pulse widths will be incorrect causing drivability problems.

The only way it will work is if you have a tweecer, eec tuner, or something like that. Your best bet is to buy a C&L mass air meter. They use sample tubes for the calibration which are only like $25 and easily changed. That's what I did. I remember summit had the 73mm for $125, although I don't know if they still do. There wasn't much change at all from using the C&L to switching to a 75mm bullet Pro-m, althoughsome people say they have drivability problems with the C&L's. I'm using a 80mm Pro-M now, and it's the best, however they are quite a bit more than the 75mm.

ive only heard bad things about C&L
im just going to go ahead and get a new pro-m and 24lbers
no use in waiting. im probably getting ~300hp'ish anyways

staticc - ProM changes their calibrations depending on whether or not you're using the stock air box, have a cold air kit, have elbows right in front of the meter, have a conical hung on the end under the hood etc. So if you buy used, be sure you know what you're getting. It can make a difference if you get one used that was calibrated for different configuration than you're using, even if the injector size is correct.
