winter is coming
my car is on bald nittos and once the first snowflake hits the ground my car is getting garaged. I'm not sure if i'll be able to borrow my girlfriends sunfire all winter again so i was looking into getting a winter beater.
I saw the beater thread but...geez...alot of you guys drive nice cars in the snow. Much more than i can afford. what are some idea's for a cheap winter car for a college student?
It needs to be able to hold its own in the snow for sure and be reliable.
I really dont care if the thing is a rusty pos, as long as i can run it to death.
I was looking into 90's f150s (I6 or V8?) and broncos. i'm sure alot of you guys have owned these so what are your guys opinions on them as far as reliability, expense of parts, etc?
thanks a bunch

My father in law has a 1996 Cherokee and he's always putting gas in that thing too. I think he said he gets around 15mpg. Also, you get to buy new rotors every 15,000 miles or so on a Cherokee
