The 1977 F150 oil pan looks more likely to fit than the 1990 version.

Is this a stock pan ? 764711608_2826659617698504_5420550745599324122_n.webp

If you swap your steering rack to a fox steering rack (aluminium housing and sport ratio) you will have enough clearance from my experience with a "normal" 302 front sump pan. If it's still to close you can shim the engine mount just slightly.
Why do i know, i put a 5.0 HO in my car when it had the original steering and build own engine mounts. afterwarts i swaped to the fox steering and now i have a lot of space...

Thanks for the advice. I am using stock v8 motor mounts if it makes any difference. What do I need to get for the fox swap ?

You need offset bushing like this ones:

Beside that you need a steering rack. Should be one piece aluminium housing and a 2.5 turn lock to lock; on my quick search I just found this with 3 turns...

Beside that you should be able to use your old pump or buy a aftermarket one.

Because I build my own steering hoses with AN-fittings and fitted an european power steering pump, I can't give full advice about steering hoses.

But there also complete kits out there like this one:

In my build threat there should be pics about the steering rack etc.

Thanks for the info .

I'm not sure if you'll be able to keep the oil dipstick in the side of the block, but it should be the one on the engine if you're staying with the serpentine system and the water pump that's on the engine. If you swap to a standard rotation pump like was on the II to begin with, you'll want an earlier timing cover to match. Here's an interchange article from Hot Rod if it helps....
