I guess I answered that question last night on my way home from work. I was at a stoplight and a stock 2007 350z pulled up next to me. So light turns green and we booth take off (I know take it to the track). Surprisingly I thought he would have beaten me but I slowly and I mean slowly was walking him. He followed me to the highway and we tried from a 30mph roll up to highway speeds. This time I pulled a full car length ahead of him and he couldn’t catch up. I though these 350Z are suppose to kill stangs. I'm sure a stock stang couldn't have taken him. Seems like all you really need to beat one is gears, tune and exhaust.

I dont have any experience racing one with the Stang but i do in my old STi. Me, my wife, and my buddy were all coming back from Atlanta on the highway and this Z thought he was hot ****. Well, i raced him from punching in 6th gear and pulled him. He kept wanting it about 10 times or so and i experimented with 5th gear (ran out real quick though) and just straight 6th gear. Same outcome every time. And remember, that was with 3 people in the car and my car pushing around 280-300 awhp.

The '07's have 306HP @ 268TQ.

yea thats what i was going to say. I knew they didnt have 330hp lol. but yea they are not impossible to beat guys. 500 bucks will do it. 100 shot of good ol nx will fix em real good.

but really look at our stock torque compared to theres we got like 30 some ftlbs on them stock. "Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins races" thank you mr. shelby for that statement.

I've never had a chance to run one, but I shouldn't have any problems given my ET. Still, it's kinda sad that our 4.6L V8 can't beat the 3.5L V6 without mods.

Who said a gt can't beat them. I raced two of them in my 01 gt and beat both... my car was stock for the first race and I had 4.10's a tune and flowmasters and a off road x for the second.

They are quick but arent meant for the drag strip.

Our Stangs suck though, come on. 4.6L to = 260 crank hp.

3.5L to = 306hp... wtf.

To be honest those Z's have a sexy exhaust note bone stock for what they are.

Well lets take into consideration that a well-equipped Z will into 30k if you're buying new as compared to our cars which even when they were new, would still be well under like 27 grand.

And the Nissan VQ (the 3.5) only runs on premium...
