Damn, that looks like a brand new cover Dave! And I really like the sharpie trim. Silver looks better than chrome for interior accents, IMO. I actually used a silver sharpie on a fireplace decor piece in my house. They are very handy!


As far as my wheels, they were one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest set of 18" that American Muscle had. It would be cheaper for you go the same route than to buy the TRX wheels I bet!

I will probably go for the 16" TRX wheels from LMR when i'm done with the overall fix. I found some cheap old four lug aftermarket wheels that have decent tires for $150. I wouldn't mind some ponies either though, especially the 17" ones from LMR.

I have too many smalls right now to get ($50-$65) right now to even think of the $1k things. Soon though, probably spring/summertime for better wheels.

I can get real TRX wheels really cheap, just got to buy the rubber for them though. That's their problem.

I'll save the five lug life for when i begin addressing the drivetrain inadequacy.

Ok, in keeping up with notifying y'all when I do absolutely anything, no matter how insignificant it might be. Here's some stuff I did so far today.

First, the cowel panel fix.

Next, the windshield trim fixes.

Here in the real world. I sanded down the cowel panel cover and got it in primer. That was almost as much fun as the grille on the bumper!

I also painted the kick panels and the glove box along with the passenger seat cover base. I didn't take a picture, but I'll get one for those that really care.

I've done stuff again, not ferociously exciting.

I primered the left windshield moulding after doing all the repairs. I need to fix the passenger side, but it has a couple broken pieces off it. I saw one piece on the ground next to the car in one of the yard pictures. Hope it's still there. I might need to get one from one of the other fox's there.

I sanded the cowel panel cover and painted it the same gray as the middle of the hood. I cleared it first with regular clear to provide extra UV protection. Then I sprayed the satin clear to match the hood.

So maybe I've gone crazy.....I painted the windshield wiper arms the same color, but I used the half an eggshell on them.

I need to go buy a new zipper for the passenger seat back cover tonight and get to sowing. I've ordered the new springs, just waiting for them to get here so I can rebuild the bottom of the seat.

Such amazing work. I like what you did with the wiper arms. I purchased some NOS wiper arms for my '95 a couple years ago but didn't install them until we left Germany in March. They weren't on there for even a month before the passenger side arm got a paint chip. They did solve my streaky wiper problem, though.
