The trim will be the grey it already is.

If i'm able to fit the 351 under the hood, it'll stay. I'm not sure about that yet though.......

I watched the monster garage thing. GAAAHHH!!!

Though the flame throwing exhaust might be interesting

That crazy guy with the station wagon did it.
@nelzfoxes ....the " Daddy Wagon ". Didn't he put a 351 in that thing and fit it under the stock hood recently ? I've been trying to find the thread but can't find it.

Drew @droopie85gt has one in his ‘85.

Hey Drew, won’t both k-member spacers and convertible mounts (or solid mounts) start to cause an issue with header clearance?

Actually solved some for mine, my problem was the collectors sitting on the floor pan, may throw them on again this weekend and see if I fixed that problem

Every induction system for a 351 is gonna hang way the hell up in the air. A conventional intake (Victor/Super victor) w/ either a 4 hole TB, or an elbow is gonna be UP there. If you go the opposite way, and put some low profile 1970's style stock height intake on the thing to get it to fit under a stock hood, you trade away any advantage a 351 will have over a 302, cause you'll choke the piss out of it.
Just look at this lifeless looking thing......

I think I'm gonna puke....:puke:This is 4.150" high.

Then look what happens when they only perform a vasectomy...(Balls still there, but no longer able to fully perform)

Ah Oh,......looking like maybe we better rethink the hole in the hood thing.....now we're hanging 5-3/4" up in the air.

And lastly,....coming in at the same height as our blank shooter, the " aint nobody touching my junk" offer.

I thought you had a scoop for the thing already?

I do, this discussion is just far in the future. I was just thinking what I should do with the hood

so this is from my build thread but should give you an idea. Dart 351, super victor efi intake, holly cast throttle body and a cheap summit brand drop base 14x3. Using energy suspension mounts (vert mounts), racecraft k (there are others that sit the motor lower, team z I believe does), 1" k spacers, and a 1.5" cheap ass cowl. Only about 3/8 or so of clearance, but with a different k, drop mounts, and maybe an accurate tb I think it would fit under a sticker, but just barely.

Edelbrock also makes a low profile elbow that a will let you use a fox style tb, I've seen those fit under a stock hood too.

I should have the paint shortly, I asked the jobber to send a ticket for how much they would charge normally for a gallon of unreduced green.....GAHHHH! Good thing I got it free:nice::banana:

I’m so out of touch on how much stuff costs these days.

Yep, our body shops cover the costs of materials, then, we barely get enough money back from the insurance companies to cover the costs. Crooks!!

Y’all going to love this. I got the paint and shook it up and went to open it. I wanted to show you guys.

They mixed the wrong color:nonono:.

They’re going to get another mix to me, Geez! I’m not a cheap friend of theirs.
