Progress Thread She’s a runner

Doing some “maintenance” these threaded holes in the blower were definitely not designed to be used often. They were starting to get buggered up so I installed time serts. They aren’t cheap for the kit but damn are they easy to install and quite impressive. I’ll never repair another threaded hole any other way.

Just need to get to my brothers and mill this out. I’ll get it close then match it to the blower and “funnel”

Will need to cut some pipe to get this area into the intake. I’ll use some small exhaust pipe to make a flare.

It’s good to have neighbors that are car guys too. I helped my good friend and neighbor get his lift put together. It went well and the engine hoist came in handy. Lift is an Atlas 8000# extra tall and wide. Also got one of the things I ordered. Black Friday deal an aluminum McLeod flywheel. I’m aware of the pros and cons but for $104 we’ll see how I like it.

I’m thinking about using a Volvo power steering pump. It would clean things up a bit and I wouldn’t need to have the belt go way over to the one side.
thoughts?
may as well give it a try, the PS pump on that front engine dress tends to buckle a bit and cause a misalignment of the belt. link to the pump in question?
