the Ranchero disaster & Brand X update

Those look great man! I agree with taking the bend out. Maybe drop @95steedamustang a line and see what he would propose to remove or minimize the slight bend.

Buddy had an 84 with the louvers and I have always thought the older Foxes look spot on with them.
I’m just here to learn from an ole school body guy @General karthief
Definitely going have to read this over and add to his OCD

Yeah the bend is bugging me.....
Funny me having OCD, is that why I always check the front door is locked twice before expiring for the night?
I hated body work when I was young, painting was alright, kinda liked that. I grew up hearing the old say'n 'a good painter can cover for a poor bodyman', NOT TRUE..
I just wanna drive my junk...
There is also a certain young'n in the neighborhood that is sure his V6 n/a camaro is hot :poo:.
We'll see.......
Wonder what the HP difference between painting or polishing the louvers/slats, they're good for about 5HP painted IIRC

What did you decide for a finish?
Got a couple cans of SEM trim black.
Actually I scuffed the back with a black pad, what a pain in the fingers...!
You'll see when I post up the pics, I washed it, wiped it with lacquer thinner, hit it with a couple coats for that trim black aaannnnnnddd.....
Well, Kevin would :puke: but it's the bottom so not really a high vision area and it can't look too good, I could have done better but again, it's the Junk Pyle.
Now on to the visible side...wonder if there is any body that can lend me some primer and sand paper? :)

So you are saying this is the quality of work we should expect?

Coming g along nicely.
Thanks, slowly but moving forward, between the lawn and the tug boat eating up the Pyle budget, damn thing needs an alternator, battery and I suspect a fuel pump, piddly crap. Oh, forgot a brake booster, the boat has a bad vacuum leak. And a oil change and, and, and....
BUT I have rear window louvers and a tubular intake....life is good!!

Move to North Dakota. You only have to mow 3 months per year. :D
