94 Cobra Progress Thread (formerly Help Me Decide Thread)

OK. As a lot of you know from my other post I am supposed to buy that 95 GT mustang for $1700. The guy is M.I.A. I have not been able to get in touch with him for a week and a half. Called daily, no answer. Went to shop, locked up. I know he's busy but the communication is lacking to say the least. aaaaaanyway.......I found this.

I have bought stuff from this guy before. He's a cool dude. If I could get this for say $3500 should I and pass on the 95? (the 95 is a 62k mile car also for $1700)

I did a "drive by" and saw the cobra, he won't be home until later. Looks real nice from the outside.

No brainer really. Cost to mod the GT into a Cobra would exceed the difference. Better brakes, more power, more exclusive, 5.0

Awesome! Even if you didnt negotiate down from $4800, that was a great price.

$3700. Needs a clutch.....badly. Drives great. Ice cold A/C. Nice stereo.

It has two dents that need to be addressed, and the spoiler needs paint. I still think I did O.K.

Dang man, I’m jealous. I’m starting to like those cars more and more. Good for you. I’m starting to think that mustangs are just cheaper in Hawaii, or is it just me? A car like that with that mileage would sell for 8k over her in abq. How are you running across these deals??

I run across these deals because I know lots of people here in the mustang community, and I am a craigslist whore. Luckily almost everyone here is into imports, so the mustangs don't sell....and the prices drop and drop. I know when to buy, but more important I know when to walk away..... I just finished my install of my Anderson Ford cam and t moss ported intake on my 93. I guess now I have to do a clutch.......
