Progress Thread 95 2-Top Cobra Build Thread- Never ending

Both seats in and a test drive, definitely ran cooler with the coolant flush and 180 thermostat.

Here’s the day I’ve been waiting for for almost two years. Today I take the driving test for my license to finally be able to drive the cobra whenever. Very exciting day to say the least. 16 years down!

Good luck man. Should be easy peasy for ya.

Also, your car looks really good all cleaned up. You’re a lucky dude to have that ride as a 16 year old. Keep taking care of it and hold onto it even when the itch for something new comes around. I (and most car guys) regret selling my high school hot rod.

Appreciate the kind words. I am beyond blessed to have this vehicle, no plans on ever selling it.

I know these are controversial but I couldn’t stand the tucked in rear look. I picked up a pair of hubcentric wheel spacers to bring it out almost flush with the fender, will look perfect once the B springs are in

I would have done the exact same thing. I cannot stand the tucked look on the back of SNs.

Double check the torque on them after 30-40 miles, like you would new wheels. And with that I would leave it alone and enjoy having those stock wheels on the car. Keeps the clean original vibe alive. Plus, it’s easier on the clutch to do donuts and burnouts on 245s than wider tires.
:burnout:

Not much to update on the car, it’s being daily driven now. Only issue is the exhaust keeps knocking on the frame. This weekend I’ll take the x pipe on and rearrange everything. I drove it with dumps today to rid some of the knocking noise
