Anybody using lift struts instead of prop rod?

Nope, used the measurements for the 79-93 hood. I'm convinced that the lower mount points on the driver side was probably 1/8th" or more off. probably enough to compress the shock too hard, and it wouldn't compress anymore and the result was a bind. Bottom line...my fault.

Im running stainless Redlines and no probs at all. I did have one of the heads pop off the strut when i bumped my head on the hood. Im kinda tall though.

Thought about them, but after replacing the hatch struts on my GC and Explorer, and the hood struts on the Explorer today, I am not putting them on anything that does not have to have them.

Prop rods are cheaper and do not need replacement.

so does the hood a lot but you dont see more people going to lift off hoods...
