Are low-mile E7 take offs worth anything?

Yeah, they should be worth something. Maybe more in a few years. I have a dozen sets of 302 heads, so I don't need more. But.... I also have 66 Chevelle with a generic 350. No stash of chev stuff. My experience has been that finding good, used, stock parts is much harder and pricer than 5.0 stuff. People think 283 powerglide stuff is historic and made of gold! Most of it has been used up, bored out, ruined or patched and is becoming somewhat scarce.

So hold on to those E7's!

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Probably some truth to that but with the sheer number of vehicles that came with e7 s it will likely be quite some time before they enjoy that status. Its not like we are talking GM camel hump heads or Cleveland heads here.

it sucks (I know) to be on the receiving end

Probably worth their weight in iron. That's about it.

Are low-mile (36,000+/-) E7 heads worth anything more than scrap value? I "sold" a set with 100,000 miles on them for a case of Corona. I was thinking I might keep them for a future project, but if I could get a few ducats for them, it would help finance my current one.

Opinions?

I've got quite a few sets of heads, intakes etc laying around. All old stock stuff that i can't seem to get rid of. And I always think to myself that I'm better off keeping them for something down the road
than selling them for $20

You say that now, then a while down the line your shop ends up looking like mine and wondering where you put your coffee down in the morning.

On the other hand, consider the mission statement that Craigslist and eBay were founded on...."somewhere there's an idiot who will give me too much money for this"
