Don't be in a hurry to do this. Why not look at buying used parts? Don't know why nobody brought this up. You want to be careful buying used heads, as it is hard/impossible to tell if they will need work before you can run them. Other than that, it's really hard to get beat buying a used intake, roller rockers, injectors, etc.

I picked up an edelbrock peformer intake (fuelie) ($260), eddy rpm heads with 1.90/1.60 valves ($700), a 65mm TB ($80), and Pro M MAF + 24 lb. injectors ($250)

Add that up, and it's not a lot of money. You have to remember that you're going to need to add in things like head gaskets, posssibly hardened pushrods, possibly guideplates, intake gaskets, and all of the little things. Should probably get new lifters while you are doing all of this as well. Just don't rush into anything. I collected parts for about 2 years, and am now just getting my engine together.

My personal reccomendation would be to take your time, shop around, and pick up the best used parts you can afford if you are really on a budget. Not hard to get your actual h/c/i parts for less than $1500. Doesn't seem to me that you have a clear direction you want to head in as far as exactly what h/c/i combo you want, or a performance goal. Talk to as many people as you can with different combinations, and make a decision from there.

We are on the same wave length bro- I'm thinking wait till next summer and at least collect the parts

Seriously I'd come to that realization after 4 days of pondering and then I come upon your post. I also like the idea of using the stock cam tho I dunno.

Even if I bought the stuff now, and didn't get it completed for 2 years, what's a little wait? I have the $$$ now, I'll never have it again, the wifey wants kids... I'm gonna be a small warehouse 2 weeks from now :D

Biding my time baby...

So I might just get the intake, fuel pump, clutch and get the car painted red after all of this bothering everyone... It needs paint badly and the motor is basically still new... I dunno

Thoughts

I considered the X heads. For the size of the ports they should flow much better than they do.I just bought cheap smaller port y heads ($675 take offs) and ported them so they flow as well or better than the out of the box X's.I like the AFR's.Good flow from relatively small ports= good power and very street friendly low end torque.

$1000 x Heads
$109 Fuel Pump
$529 BBK Intake
$160 Clutch
$250 Roller Rockers
$229 24lb injectors
$179 C&L Mass Air Meter

TOTAL: Circa $2,500

Anyone want to add anything- I think that's all I'll need right?

Looks good, but you can get a used Pro-M for $100 if you shop around, used 24 lb. injectors for $100, good used roller rockers for about $150, and a BETTER used intake for $250-$300...........if you shop:p I however would not recommend a used clutch........

The Mustang Show I'm going to in Birmingham should have a lot of that- I'll take pics of what I bring back. I'll have my wallet on full alert ;)

I did it :D

Just ordered a set of GT40 X heads (58cc), 190 lph fuel pump, Ford Racing 1.7 Roller Rockers, and a B-303 cam...
That should go well with the BBK SSI intake I bought from CJ Pony Parts at the mustang show last weekend ... I ordered everything from their website http://www.cjponyparts.com/

They got pretty good prices- I'll let you guys know how they do
