I also started this swap. Found out I also have to machine the calipers because they sit to far out and contact the wheel. I also have a maximum Motorsport half inch spacer. They will fit really well with a little work.

One insert done. Just need to test the press fit and I can do the other three.

I will not be making these for sale. I machined them by hand and nobody would want to pay what I would charge for my time for these.

There has to be some way to get a few of those made up. There's a company that would make a run of those cheap enough for you to make a profit.... especially if you source calipers to sell with them.

Still prototyping. I actually came up with a Rev B that might even work better than these tonight.

I also bought a set of XTS J64 Brembos. These are almost the same as the ATS brembos but offset for 13" rotors. The ATS is made for 11.6 rotors so the curve of the pad and housing is different.

I have two more inserts but I want to save them for the J64's.

looks like lmr wants to also get in on the caddy caliper swap. Maybe you could sell them your inserts

I would have doubted that a major company like LMR would sell a part requiring extensive modifications....let along modifications pertaining to braking

Unfortunately I ran into a snag. I need to revise the inserts. Their position causes the Caliper to hit the barrel of the Sn95 17” rims I have and want to run. Clearance to the spokes is fine...I have tons of room. But the caliper sits too far from the hub and the barrel of the three different rims I tried contact it. I need to pull the caliper in.

Good shot showing how much the pad overhangs the cobra 13.1” rotor. If I pull the caliper in slightly, this should allow more pad to contact the rotor.

I’m trying to get my hands on a ‘11-14 13.2” rotor to test it’s fit. The I’m going to redesign the insert to pull the Caliper inward slightly.

i ran into the problem of them hitting the face of my wheel. I run a 1/2 spacer now and would need to run a 3/4 or machine them down slightly to clear the face. It does not help with the 18x10's I am m running

Probably wheel specific i'd imagine.

I tried a bullitt wheel and a 98 cobra wheel and had plenty of clearance to the spokes. More clearance than what I have with the vette calipers I currently run

I have not verified yet myself but did it look like the flexible brake line bolts right up or does it need to be swapped

Made some spacers at work out of 0.078” thick stainless. I used our 2000watt laser cutter we have sitting around

That got the rotor roughly centered. I’ll machine the calipers lately, but this lets me continue tinkering with fit

Hard to see but rotor is now centered

Now onto the pads. It’s obvious here the Caliper needs to sit down closer to the hub. The pad overhangs but they also contact my 17” wheels

Need to measure how much they overhang

But, here’s my next issue. These are factory 99-04 Brembo made cobra rotors. This casting has a “valley” near the hub. If I move the Caliper down, it hangs in the breeze. Not good

I found a different set of pads that may work. Same footprint but slightly shorter. Off a 95 Dodge Viper

For the hell of it, I placed a pad on the 13” rotors on my car. They are aftermarket but this is a copy of the 94-98 cobra rotor. There’s a ridge down by the hub. If I relocate the pad down, it will hit

I’m sure other brand rotors may have different shapes, so this may be an issue.

I’ve also designed up a new set of inserts that will pull the Caliper down 3-4mm. Not sure if that’s enough to clear a 17” wheel. Gonna be tight.

Still waiting to get on the machine to make my spacers that locate the Caliper downward a few mm.

I can confirm, the Caliper hits the front spokes on bullitt wheels. A spacer is needed.

They clear 98 cobra wheels, but the Caliper hits the barrel of the rim. Needs to be relocated down maybe 2mm to clear it.
