my lx finally got insurence on it today and i took to get a cat back put on on the way there the car bucked and ran like total crap i tried getting on it but it wouldnt go. when i went to pick the car up the car told me the cats were clogged could this be the reason why the car runs like total ass?

Check out the "restricted exhaust tests" in the Chilton's shop manual. It says to connect a vacuum gauge to the engine and start it up & let it warm up. Then increase the engine speed to 2000 RPM and hold it steady. Watch to see if the vacuum decreases with the passage of time - 30-45 seconds should be plenty. If the vacuum drops off, you have an exhaust restriction. Other than that, dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
