Well, took the stang over to the body shop. Super cool dude with a really nice Fox of his own. He looked my car over and basically told me a bunch of stuff I pretty much already knew. He was impressed with the lack of rust though. Long story short, he’d need to keep my car for around 2 months, and figured to redo the original Vibrant White and clean up the dings would be right around five grand. Seems totally fair but man that’s a lot of cash, more than I paid for the car, lol. He said he couldn’t even take the car until the spring so I have some time to figure out to make cash fall out of my butt.

Good paint jobs cost $$. Mine was around $4500 Circa 2000, and I really need to get a pro retailer to work some magic to revitalize it from being stored so long

Just looking at pics of his work and knowing he knows and loves fox bodies, makes me want him to do the work. I just need to carefully budget until the spring so I can afford the work. I’m definitely not complaining about his pricing. I figured it would cost at least that much.

Materials for the garage have arrived. Finally. The crew is supposed to begin this week. I’m heading out of town so hopefully there will be some more progress pics by the end of the week.

Well damn, I ordered the wrong calipers. Those are for a GT and I need the Cobras. Luckily summit racing is hassle free, already sorted, just need to return these.

I do have a question though, MM sells a stock prop valve eliminator kit which looks like just a couple unions. Do I still need the brake line adapter kit which is the curvy lines and T fitting? It seems like eliminating the stock valve completely would make for a cleaner install rather than gutting it. Thanks

Yes, you still need the 3-2 conversion kit. That prop valve delete just connects the line from MC to the outgoing lines.

Ok thanks man. The 93 master, booster, and E-brake cables plus 95 front hubs, nuts, and dust caps will be here this week. There’s also some stuff coming from LMR tomorrow, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I should be pretty well ready to do the swap after that. I think. I hope. Lol. I really appreciate all your help.

Oh yea, my yard looked like this when I got home as well. w00t! Finally, they have started on the garage. Supposed to have beautiful weather here all week, so hopefully they get a good chunk of work done.

Packages on my porch. Woohoo

‘93 cobra MC

E-brake cables

And a pair of Moog hubs for the front

More parts arriving tomorrow.

No progress on the garage today because of rain, but all the roofing and siding was delivered today and the job foreman said the roof will be complete tomorrow. I’ll be hanging housewrap on it myself Saturday.

So I have some brake parts lost in fedex land. Held up for some reason, no doubt fedex is slam busy for the holidays. Not in a hurry since I can’t start the work yet anyway, but I like to have my parts. Lol.

In other news, the garage is coming right along. Here’s how it looks this evening. Roof and soffits were done Friday, I wrapped it Saturday, and doors and windows were framed and installed plus most of the siding went on today. Getting excited.

I didn’t wrap the gables just because I’ll be finishing the ceiling and insulating, and the ridge is vented so I wanted plenty of air movement through the attic space to prevent any moisture buildup. There’s lots of ways to do it. This was just a cheap and easy way. I have vapor barrier between the metal roofing and purlins so I should be dry as a bone in the attic no matter the outside temps/inside temp variance.

The bottom chords of the trusses will get covered with 6mil plastic, then lightweight metal, then 16” of insulation blown in on top of that. I want to be able to work out there any time of year.
