Well, I was shooting for around 350 hp to the wheels with similar torque.

Our local mustang club had a dyno day, $45.00 for two pulls with a/f. I went on with a really safe tune and hit 352 hp, 344 tq...I was happy at that point. I was running REAL rich though (~9.8:1)

I changed it to a more aggressive tune and upped both by about 20.

Then the guy running the dyno gave me 4 more pulls for free

I changed the meth injection point and leaned out the top end a bit and was able to pull offfff..........

408.5 RWHP and 398 RWTQ

not too shabby There was a gt500 there that hit 440 rwhp...which is about what they should be at so I'm pretty sure that dyno was pretty accurate.

I brought it up to 6250. This is on a 100% safe tune...no hint of detonation or anything. I was also holding back a bit on the timing. I was running 25 total and with that meth kit and my compression ratio I'm sure I could bump it up a few degrees...but I was happy I didn't blow a headgasket and didn't want to risk doing that quite yet.

He asked me if I wanted to do a few more pulls...but by the time I finished that last pull I was at 210*...didn't feel too safe doing a 7th consecutive pull.

I'm waiting for someone to send me the pic of the dyno chart.

All in all, I'd say that was $45.00 well spent

That's a lil more than a dollar/hp

Thanks guys..my low end looks kinda soft...but it's a vortech so I kind of expected that.

I'm changing the pulley out within the next couple weeks so that should help my low end a bit.

I was definitely impressed though...I would have been happy with 350 at the wheels to tell the truth.

so, I got a bit of icing

nah, I have a vortech and that'd take a bit of custom piping/moving things around

I have the snow meth injection kit. I'm not taking full advantage of it on these runs. My timing could be bumped up a good bit with the a/f I'm running.

I think my next steps are that blower pulley I was talking about and maybe a track heat intake

after that...I think I'm gonna call it quits on the cobra for a while

haha, that's what I said....

I'm just using some low buck parts too as far as h/c/i goes

The boost was at 9 psi (stock vortech pulley)

the newer pulley should put me at about 14-15 psi...and, as you know I'm sure, I've heard a good rule of thumb is ~10hp per psi...but if you figure that I could add a bit more timing as well, that's around 4hp or so per degree....

so there's def more to be had out of it.

I'll get the chart up as soon as I can

Chart's up.

My low end definitely isn't where I want it....but my top end pulls like a raped ape.

What do yall think?

also, I'm still trying to get this meth injection kit tuned right. you can see at about 5500rpm where it starts to dip down to 10.7 or so....It's a work in progress

Well ... 300#'s@2900 ... 340#'s@3500 and 365#'s by 4K ain't shabby

Did you do a dlog during the pull

Just a thought

If you run the j4j1 ... might the fuel dip at 5500 be around 90mph where
the fuel enrichment function does it thing

ya know what?....I'm glad you said something about that...I completely forgot about the high speed enrichment. Right around there would be where that enrichment comes in too...hmmmmm...guess the meth injection is injecting sooner then...

I've really gotta wire up that led that lets me know when its active lol....d'oh.

I did a datalog on my last pull...but for some reason it didn't save to my hard drive..another d'oh.

The owner of the shop told me I could come back and do dyno pulls for free until I hit 475 hp He said he was impressed I could up the horsepower/torque by 50 with just a laptop...considering I'm 18 I guess he thought I knew didly squat...which...well...I do know didly squat

and I agree..it's not too shabby. it's one of those...it feels slow..but I know its fast kinda deals. Maybe it's because of the suspension that it feels slow...ah well. Not worried about it.

sorry for the novel here...but looking at the curves...does anyone think there's any kind of a bottle neck anywhere? I'm still trying to learn the ropes of reading a dyno....I'm a newb...

Thank ya

thanks.

actually, I was doing a gear calc thing..and my high speed starts at around 4400....which means....time to go back and retune it without the high speed enrichment.

about how much of an a/f point would you say the enrichment adds?

I could not say cause I don't know how you got your fuel table and
higher end of your maf curve setup.

The function is a multiplier of that value thus making it fatter after
90mph if you run the j4j1.
