Finishing Touches On Sc V2 Install

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the information and support along the way...I'll post up some pictures shortly. Around Christmas time I purchased a used V2 HO with a heavy duty race bracket and 3.1/6.75 pullies. I'm just putting the finishing touches on it now and it will be done this weekend....It's booked for Dyno time on Feb 12th for tuning. I switched injectors from 24lbs,190lph fuel pump and 73mm mass air to 42lbs'ers, 95MM PMAS and a Aero 340lph. I was hoping to start up the car to get it on the trailer and to check for any leaks...will this be a problem without a base tune?

Also any guesses on power ? Tuner is thinking 10-11lbs of boost...rest of motor is below.

Rest of mods are -
Factory 5.0 Block, Stock Forged Pistons with High Tension rings, honed bores.
ARP rod , main bolts and head studs
Stock 5.0 oil pump
Balanced bottom end
Comp Cams custom cam 218in/220ex degree .512/.512 lift/114 lobe centres
Ford Motorsports roller lifters
Edelbrock Performer Aluminum heads 1.94/1.60 valves
Chambers reshaped and blended at valve seats
Multiangle valve job
Cut for Felpro wirelock head gaskets
Intake ports matched to Felpro 1250 intake gasket
Exhaust Port walls blended from cnc port opening into runners
Extrude Honed Ported
Comp Cams dual valve springs
Crane HD pushrods
Ford Motorsports Cobra intake manifold
Ford Motorsports 65mm Throttle body
31 Spline HD Axles and HD Aubrun rear end

You will be fine to put it up on trailer . You may need to hold gas pedal to the floor to cut the inj to get it to start . Otherwise all good . I wouldn’t run it too long don’t want to risk washing anything down .

Sounds like a good set up and very similar to what I had ran years back. What is your exhaust set up? I'm going to shoot high and say 470 but a safe tuned on 93 440-470 is a blast and streetable.

Bbk Ported Equal length headers and catless H pipe 2.5”

Yeah hoping to make it a strong street car, hoping I can get a year out of the t5 lol

Thanks ! Keeping an eye out for a TKO lol. Very excited to see what it will put down. Here’s a picture of the car.

Any issues on not running a hump coupler on the powerpipe to air filter? Kit didn't come with couplers so I just got a 4" x 3" straight sleeve.

Update -

Dropped the car off at the tuner this morning. They’re installing some gauges for me but should be on dyno either tomorrow or Thursday.

Who’d like to guess final numbers ?

High Tension rings, honed bores.

Thanks - I’m hoping for around 430ish. Kit made 12psi on its last set up.

Im thinking 425 to 440 at the wheels. Sounds like a pretty solidly pieced together setup.

Thanks! Unfortunately motor was built roughly 10 years ago but only 20k on it since it was built.

Depending on how much timing they throw at it and what kind of dyno your on I'm going to say 440rwhp (+/- 20rwhp)

I estimate with 93 octane and intake temps below 160* the tuner will run it around 23* total timing at 10psi or less. this is roughly .5* retard per psi from a stock A9L curve of 28* total.

If the timing climbs above 25* total at or around 10psi on a street tune with no meth injection i call the tuners common sense into question, will it make great numbers on the dyno? yes. Will there be a nagging sense of what if I get a bad tank of gas? yes.

IMHO on a street tune with boost above 8psi keeping the timing below 23* total is a safe bet and will keep things together even if you get a bad tank of gas.
