Fuggin FWA wont turn!

My cable is in need of serious adjusting and i cant turn my FWA for nothing, ive even put a pipe wrench on it and only got it to turn a little!!, Its a UPR with a locking JAM NUT, but its been so long since i installed i forgot what it all consist of, but im pretty sure it has something to do with the JAM NUT! WHY wont it turn?!! anyone else have a problem with theirs? i think im going to have to break or cut it off somehow.

did you loosen off the lock nut first

I lost caloused skin on the two fingers I could get to reach the FWA (with the jamb nut absolutely rammed on there, I loosened the adjuster till it fell apart).

If you have an assistant you could disco the cable and it might take some tension off the adjuster - I'm not sure if that would help. Wear mechanics gloves if you use my brute force method.
