Great news!!!!!

Short answer, no. Right now, I just know that my AFSC (air force specialty code) is 92T0, which means I go to pilot training. Upon graduation from here, in a year, I will either go to Columbus, Laughlin, Vance, Whiting, or Sheppard AFB, for UPT (undergraduate pilot training). I will fly the T-6 Texan II there, and depending on how well I do with that, I will probably, and hopefully, fly the T-38 after that. If I get through that, I'll have a selection of planes to choose, and right now, my priorities are F-15C, F-15E, A-10, and F-16. So we'll see how it goes....

That's why I was curious. There are so many variables left, but at least you know you've got something. From what I've seen and heard, the folks with the highest grades overall get choice of airframe.

im SO jealous....ive got 2 years before I join as an officer.

by the time I join i'll have 150 cvilian flight hours, 1 year ROTC and my degree....

then its OTS and Flight school and im good to go for 20+ years hehe

Oh man, you're getting a comission with only 1 year of ROTC? :bang: :bang: Sometimes I question why I came here, to get in 4 years what OTS and ROTC gets much quicker. However, out of my class of around 1,000, we got 529 pilot slots, so if you wanted a pilot slot here, you pretty much got one. Thats not the case with ROTC and OTS, its much much much more competitive if you want to fly. Do you know how many slots ROTC usually gets?

For pilots, I'm going t oguess less than 20 AF wide. It seems that most of the OTS folks I know have become navigators. In fact of the four people I know they all became navigators. That's really odd come to think of it. None of them got pilot slots.

Wow!!! I didn't know it was that competitive! I guess i'm glad i came here! Rumor is that we had more pilot slots available this year than cadets wanted, so I think the Academy gave a few away to ROTC and OTS.
