have 3500 dollars...347 and HCI suggestions

Is $3500 all you have to spend? If so I think you'll be coming up a little short for a 347 kit and h/c/i. I spent over $6000 for my engine including machine costs and short block assembly. Granted I replaced everything from the piston to water pump and almost every sensor, but I really don't think $3500 is gonna make it. And make sure if you get a kit from eBay, it includes all name brand parts. And stay away from a company called Dyno Flo. Good luck.

Ditto that. You can use the money to buy the parts you need, but don't start installing anything until you have enough money for the machine shop fees, plus more for new lifters/rockers if you want to replace them, and another $1000 for the just in case fund. Trust me, you will spend some money in tools because some areas in the motor aren't easy to get a torque wrench at (like last head bolt drivers side by firewall).

it is a d/d, but i daily drive fast..so its cool... well im going the supercharger route, and intake and exhaust and tune...and i should still have money left, i might get a new convertible top. this is the hardest decision ive ever made with my car, i cant decide what to..If i go h/c/i route my car will be out of commision for longer than it would be if i installed the supercharger and intake, and it cant be sitting for more than 2 days because i just got rid of my only other driveable car.

I would say do H/C/I before boosting. The heads on our cars are terrible. Yes you will gain from a supercharger on stock ones but..and maybe I’m misinformed I would guess if you did blower and intake vs. h/c/i the gains would be fairly similar. Do to amount of boost you can safely and logically run on a 'stock' motor/daily driver and the restrictions you run into in the heads. I have seen trick flow h/c/i kits for 2700 on summit I’m sure you could find cheaper and you need little more then what those provide. Either way I would guess you will need more then 2 days of work unless those are very successful and long days or you have some one do it $$$$.

i bought the v-1 s trim, edelbrock rpm2 intake manifold/adapter, 70 mm bbk throttle body, getting injectors(How big?) all i need to get now is a different pully for lower boost, injectors and a tune. im sure it wont take us more than 2 days to do it, if so oh well i'll find someway to work.

42's and a ProM77 or 80maf with custom tune.

If you go for a SCT chip they have a maf they like and I'm sure it is good from what I've seen.

Main thing is that you get plenty of fuel and a maf that can accurately report all that airflow that the blower is gonna provide.

btw ...... you must step up the fuel pump or pumps as well.

You'll aslo need a hotter spark so an ignition upgrade will be another thing.

ive got a 255lph pump thats going in, that should be sufficient, i have an msd coil..-no box though. i can keep the stock maf sensor and get it calibrated for the 42's cant I?

No Way Jose!

If you got a combo that makes enough airflow to need 42's ................... the tiny stock maf won't be able to handle all that airflow.

Congrats on the parts. I wish I could do the same. I would consider some heads though, even if it's only some cleaned-up GT-40 take-offs off e-bay. With all that stuff on top flowing through stock heads, you are selling yourself short. Your gonna get her all bolted up, and later your gonna wish you had done some head work while you had her torn down, and had the cash to boot.

Your car is going to be bad-ass either way, just a thought.

If your supercharger runs off the serpentine and is not a direct drive to the crank (cog pulley) you don't want underdrives. The underdriven crank pulley will reduce the speed of your serpentine belt to slow the accesories and free up horsepower, but at the same time reduce your max PSI for your blower. Also, I am 110% confident you don't want a stock MAF on that car when the supercharger goes on. I am with Grady all the way when he says "No way Jose!" A Pro-M 80mm unit can be bought off of e-Bay if your running a budget for probably $200-$250. New they retail for upwards of $300-$325, but you absolutely don't want to skip out on this part and have your car run like a turd.

thanks for the input..Heads are just out of the budget at the moment, that supercahrger is going to kick my ass as it is, im sure i wont be dissapointed. They are in the near future though,(probly as soon as i blow a head gasket{next week}) 42lbers arent too big? i want to decide on injectors so i can get the MAFS ordered

The 42's are what you want with a maf that is caled for them.

If you are gonna order a new maf, I'd go for a ProM shorty 80mm caled for 42's and a supercharged application. Just call up the new ProM company and talk to their tech support guy and tell him what you wanna do.

btw ...... the 42's will most likely not give you very good drivability unleess you get a custom tune.
