Head Swap Build Thread: And other Improvements

Thanks for the link kurt, I didnt think Pro chambers came with cats thats why I kind of over looked them and went more with the X pipes. I assume the one that is $439 is the one w/ cats.

I would assume since it's signifigantly more money. Their website is pretty awful. I'd just call them and ask. If it isn't available with cats, I can assure you there is plenty of room to weld them in.

Got around to doing a little more work today after putting together a gas grill this afternoon which proved to be more taxing then working on the car, go figure and that came w/ instructions.

Anyway I'll be getting my wheel stud installer in the mail tomorrow so I can finish up what I started today.

Thanks, feels good to be working on it again even though the engine is not going together yet but there is lots more to do besides that. Sent out the intake and accessory brackets today to get power coated

Thanks guys. After some further investigation today I discovered that I was going to need a new wheel hub assembley so off with the old one and a new one will be ordered soon.

Took this behemoth 36MM socket to get it off.

Those wheel hub assemblies start to walk back and forth when they wear out. It's the downside of ball bearings. I found out I had to replace mine when I changed my brakes.

Yeah I figured that was probably the issue. I'm sure the other one needs to be done but I'll get to that one when I put it up for the year again, well if I ever get it going this summer lol

Replaced the wheel hub today and installed the other spacer, now my wheels are not tucked in under the fenders like they were before and I can run the skinny tires up front for the track and have them clear the brakes.

The upper/lower intake and accessory brackets and a few other smaller pieces have been sand blasted. Special thanks to Kevin (95ssteedamustang) for helping me out with the powder coating process

I have a question regarding the crank case ventilation. The victor EFI Jhas no PCV valve so I was running 2 open breather caps on the valve covers. Will I be able to use 2 closed breathers on the VC and run an open breather for the oil cap?

Not sure what you mean by 2 closed breathers + an open breather on oil cap... 3 breathers?

I got tired of my breathers dripping oil and making oil changes a pain so I went back to a PCV setup.

Closed breathers do not allow sir in, closed breathers are sealed. Right now I have a standard screw in oil cap but can that be replaced with an open breather with 2 closed ones on the VC? I Just need to know if that set up will work with no PCV set up
