How much is this intake hurting me? Carb'd car.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How much is the torker2 intake hurting my combo and what do you guys think would be the best match for this. The combo is pretty much going to stay the same as is for awhile as Im not more focused on the suspension and getting it to hook. The torker2 has worked well for me. I have yet to run the new motor at the track, but this motor pulls hard all the way though 5th actually, it used to fall on its face in 3rd and now it just keeps pulling. Here is my combo.

fresh 308 with flat top coated pistons, moly rings, arp throughout, etc...
gt40p heads milled .020
trickflow stage 1 cam
torker2 intake with 1" open spacer cast marks cleaned out of the ports
holley 650dp
k&n open 14"x3" element
canton 7qt. t-pan with scraper
stock mustang headers for now will upgrade to p head specific headers later
4cyl. t-5 with steel throwout bearing retainer and upr shifter( has actually held up very well)
8.8 with 3.73's

Not really too worried about torque as it has plenty right now down low and I couldnt really lose that much with just the intake change I dont think.
RPM's will stay below probably 6200 or so, probably more around 6k.
Vic. Jr is like 3500-8 so that probably wouldnt be too good for this motor unless you guys have diff. thoughts.

Let me know what you guys think.

stealth or rpm would work better than the torker II

The Torker II is not a bad intaek and probably isn't hurting very much, but the Stealth and Performer RPM are both better than the Torker II. Personally I preffer the Stealth.

Stealth is dual plane. If you wanted to stay single plane, I'd also look at finding a TorkerI (TorkerII is a POS in comparison, IMHO). I'd also look into a Wieland Xcellerator; from the very little info I've found on them, they're supposed to be very similar to a TorkerI, but they are still made, whereas a TorkerI isn't.

Ill look into the stealth. Is it a dual plane or single

It's dual plane with a power range of idle to 6800 rpm. It'd work awesome with your combo IMO. I think it'll give you more hp and torque. I also think it will enhance throttle response too.

You are correct a Vic Jr would be WAYYY too much for the engine and cam.

Yeah, still made and CHEAP. Usually $150-180 new. I got mine used for ~$90 shipped.
