I need reviews (sold the Mach 1)

mike,:Zip2:
you drive me nuts.....i cant read any of your threads anymore.....you ask for opinions and act like a know it all and as soon as someone flames you, you "change your mind" and contradict yourself......end rant.....

on the positive side of my post......i vote do a 5.0 t-5 conv on the notch....and a few bolt ons......keep dreaming of power adders....

You made that video with your 4cyl Mustang?

After seeing that, I'm sure you won't be nice and gentle with a 5.0 turbo car. Imagine being able to drive like that on dry pavement with both tires spinning in 2nd gear? All young car people will abuse their cars, thats why I feel a budget JY turbo set up for a couple grand is not the way to go.

Buy a modded one to start.

after watching that vid I bow to you, you have mucho skills :hail2::hail2: you are a wheel man :rlaugh:. Dude really do you wear nomex underpants when make post's ?

on another note, you have a project fox right in your driveway. 4 to 8 swap right there.

hey mike great idea to speed in a parking lot and try to kick the rear end out. after seeing this i totally agree with what i said earlier, you will not be able to control a turbo mustang, let alone an hci one.

MIke,

How dare you spin your tires, powerbrake, and slide sideways in your mustang. NO ONE NOT ONE of us on here did that when we were 16. NO NOT EVER. If anyone says different they MUST be lying. After seeing that you must also have 427 speeding tickets and should not have anything over your 105 HP 4 banger. DO not follow anyones directions in here with a DIY turbo or 5 liter HCI swap. From the looks of it you WILL DIE because you have done these things....

Edit: Also NONE of us continue to do these things now as well...

I was saying that with my post about the video, I was saying he will use the car to it's potential, therefore he should spend the money to make it right and buy the right parts. My reference was to building the car on the cheap, skimping on certain things like the tranny, rear and tune and then having it haunt him later when he is driving the car hard.

But I can see how my post was taken wrong. This is just to clear up any confusion. :D

I wasn't referring to you but more to the masses. I have stayed quiet of this forum for several years with an occasional post here and there, but i have had a revelation recently. I am just tired of e thugs and ass hats with their opinions persuading everyone to group think. When everyone falls for the internet pitfall they don't do things like your engine bay :) (yes, I was complimenting it although I know I must be person 999,999)

Your post was one of the only positive, but thank you for the clarification :)

Thanks, and yeah I can see both sides of the equation. Actually all 3 sides. I know what it's like to be the young kid wanting more, I know what it's like to want to give him good advice, but word it like an a$$ hat, and I know what it's like to want to give him the advice he is looking for in a way he can understand. I personally feel he should focus on finances and not cars, but what 17 year old does that and will use that advice?

yea we can all tell that.

 :nonono:
that was in my 4 cyl. and besides, the camera angles sucked anndd that was a crummy run. :p
:nonono: Yeah yeah
camera angles huh.....
:stupid:
:stupid:
once again, i get bashed for absolutely no reason.
Mike, I have gotten along with you since you got here and I dont believe I have ever flamed you but that video deserves some bashing :nonono:
I didnt see anything that would denote driving skills. Getting a Fox sideways in the rain can be done by anyone and seeing it snap back like that it tells me it was not a controlled skid at all.
On the other hand I have done the same thing in my teens. It was a CFI Stang so it didnt have much more power but it was close :rlaugh:

 I hear ya. When I was 16 and had my 84.5 GT350 I did donuts on someones lawn and then went 4x4ing on a dirt freeway they just started to build. Hit a rock and broke the fuel line... man, pushing a Stang across 1000' of lightly packed dirt reall sucks. :nonono:
And even now when I take my Cobra out I will look for that deserted back country road and push it till I am doing a controlled drift (not like the ricers, just pushing my limits) and I will break the tires loose from a stop and all that.
The difference is my car can take the abuse where a cheap worn Fox with a JY turbo build will die if he drives it like that video or how I push my Cobra. Also, at 16 years old my 176 hp GT350 was more then enough to get me in trouble as the car had more power then my abilities at the time could handle. Sure I thought I was hot **** and needed tripple the power but now that I am older and look back at it I am glad I didnt have more power cause I would be dead.

I like Mike, he makes me laugh and hes a pretty humble memeber. And yeah, its his life and he needs to learn from his mistakes but I sure would like to save him some hassel. I like his idea and admire his drive to get it done but ultimatly because of his age/job/money situation a turbo Fox is the last thing I would do. Sure, I would get a Fox 5.0 cause they are cool as hell and what 17 year old dosent want a sweet sounding Pony car. I just think if hes gonna spend $4000 then spend it ALL on the Fox and get a good one. Mabey save some cash for FLSFC'c and springs, exhaust and lower control arms and just enjoy the car. A fairly stock Fox is alot of fun and fairly reliable. :nice:

Seeing how he handled that 4 banger and I remember the vid of his 5.0 driving I think a turbo Stang is beyond his current abilities. It will eaither blow up from being driven too hard or blow up from not tuning it right or blow up from him installing a boost controll and cranking it fully open "just for 2 seconds" or worst yet, him pile driving it into a tree. :notnice:

I totally agree, sometimes i wish that i didnt need that brand new truck when i turned 18 but wait until now to buy the truck when they were rediculously cheap, or when i decided to drop 13k into my current 5.0 but saved it and used it later and really enjoyed what i wanted, **** if i was still driving my 89 f150 and saved all my money till now and i coulda bought a house but live and learn and then go faster :nice:
