I've been keeping my eyes peeled on CL for an O/R h-pipe to put on my '90 LX 5.0. I ran across a JEGS h-pipe (which was welded together) and was curious if anyone's had experience with these? I've found a couple of hit and miss reviews, mostly with fitment issues. The seller says he had no fitment issues at all with it though.

What's a fair price for a used one of these?

These off road pipes are pretty cheap, usually less than $150. If it fit on the same car as yours if should be fine. I know MAC, BBK, etc. have been making these for like 20 years so fitment is not an issue. If the JEGS unit is known to have fitment issues I'd pass. Lining up exhaust is a pain as it is, worse if you're trying to install a unit that isn't close.

You can get a brand new off road x-pipe like UPR sells for $160 new. Send Rick 91GT a PM, he's a UPR dealer and can get you a better price shipped.

I just put on a used Summit/Jegs pipe I found on local CL. Owner said it fit fine, but I had problems getting drivers collector to seal. Ended up using a small donut gasket at the collector to seal good. I am happy with the purchase, a bit extra work in the end but I only paid $50 for it. A used one worked for me.
