Lightning Mass Air best Choice?

I am going to be putting on the Vortech SQ Trim as in my signature running about 10lbs of boost. I talked to one of the performance shops and they told me I should go with the 90mm Lightning Mass Air instead of the 80mm one I was going to go with. Is the Lightning Mass Air have any benefits and which Mass air would you guys run? Thanks

Usually when you talk about oem mafs, there is no kind of cal like you find with ProM mafs.

The pcm knows what size inj's the motor has installed in it and it knows the real air flow that is passing past the meter in this instance.

Just like the 94-95 GT & Cobra. They use the same maf which is not caled. It is all done in the pcm, although it is done differently in each pcm.

If you try to use the lightning maf and 42's on our cars like say a GT, it will not work without a custom tune of some kind.

btw...the lightning maf is a very accurate maf but again, you can't run it in cheat mode like you could a ProM.

I keep tryin to tell ya ...... if you just fool around with it some, it kinda sorta starts to make some sense :shrug:
