I came behind him as both of us made a right turn and I gave it a little extra gas....just to chirp the tires. Next thing I know is that he is waving his hand out of the window. I don't race....I'm a 26 year old married man with 2 children....I'm past that part of my life....or so I thought. I come up next to him riding in 2 gear. We know what's going to happen........we hit the gas and I lose traction. He takes off and suprises the mess out of me....I'm so suprised that I forget to shift out of second. He spanked me:owned: .

I came up next to him and tried again. This time I didn't lose traction and I did shift but he still beat me....just not as bad.

Then I watched as a mid-80s model Monte Carlo SS got next to him and also lost (he was closer than I was). It was crazy.

Now I have changed the plans I have for my car. I was looking into putting a sub in the rear spare well along with an amp. Now I must get new gears....up to 3:55 from my weak 2:73. I will also invest in a short throw shifter.

Now for the responsible portion: I know that street racing is not a good idea and I do not usually partake in these type of things. This time was different. No one else was on the road. Speed limit is around 45-55....we didn't top 60. When we entered traffic, we stopped playing.

To the man in the civic hatchback, with an annoying exhaust note: :hail2:

ur car is slow.... lol

U definetly need to do something.. ive yet to lose to an import.. even a WRX

The only thing that gives me some bit of comfort is that I watched him beat the monte carlo SS. I wasn't the only person that was humiliated today. Thankfully.

I've had the car for about 2 months and thought that it is fun to drive....fun enough that I don't need to put money into performance right now. Things are different now. Very different.

Monte SS phtttt They are slow too like a camaro

This could be true.....but the driver of the SS probably doesn't think so. He was probably laughing as I got spanked.....then he bent over and recieved a spanking also. The thing is, I started to laugh at myself and then I had to tell my wife and now I've posted this on the internet. Its hilarious.

My wife still accepts me as a man. That counts for something.:nice:

lol :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh: Well, at least your wife does.

I beat an 86 Monte SS with my 94 V6 yes V6 FIREBIRD... oh yeah, 3.4L of fury...

Sorry man, Im just giving you a hard time.. or err.. motivation to call up trick flow or vortech.. somone whos names might sound like that anyways.

theres hondahhs out there that make us look stupid. hatchbacks weigh somewhere under 2500 i think and ive seen simple swaped turbo civic burnout in 5th gear. if those cars have the power then the hardest thing for them to do is put it down so be careful.

What the heck did you do to a 95 6 banger to help it do that? I mean, those things are true dogs... 140hp stock... :notnice:

K&N
heads shaved 30 thou and ported
poted upper and lower
dual exhaust with factory headers
Tranny was built by a guy in Barrie Ont who builds tranny's for funny cars and drag car's
under drive pully's
8.8 with 3:73's
some kinda chip

I bought the car like that from my cousin and I was the one who droped the tranny off to the guy with my truck and picked it up. And my cousin worked at a shop with a machine shop and he had the heads off to do the head gaskets so he brang the heads to work and had them and both intakes worked on by his boss.

Monte SS = heavy g-body with a POS 305 pushing maybe 175HP to the rear wheel (working of memory here guys someone correct me if I'm wrong) with a crap 700r4for a tranny.

I had some kid in a civic bounce it off the rev limiter at me today. But when I cranked it around he suspiciously disappeared.
