I came behind him as both of us made a right turn and I gave it a little extra gas....just to chirp the tires. Next thing I know is that he is waving his hand out of the window. I came up next to him and tried again. This time I didn't lose traction and I did shift but he still beat me....just not as bad.
Then I watched as a mid-80s model Monte Carlo SS got next to him and also lost (he was closer than I was). It was crazy.
Now I have changed the plans I have for my car. I was looking into putting a sub in the rear spare well along with an amp. Now I must get new gears....up to 3:55 from my weak 2:73. I will also invest in a short throw shifter.
Now for the responsible portion: I know that street racing is not a good idea and I do not usually partake in these type of things. This time was different. No one else was on the road. Speed limit is around 45-55....we didn't top 60. When we entered traffic, we stopped playing.
