I'm looking to buy the MM roll cage for my vert. I know they make good products.. any word on the cage? Im doin 6 pt and bolt it in myself, then I'll just take it somewhere and have them weld where it should be.

Ok, im telling you this from first hand experience. I got the 6 point MM bar with swingout door bars. The back 2 bars are about 3/4" to 1" TOO SHORT of reaching the wheelwells in the back. Mine is in an LX Hatch though, not a vert.

When i was researching this, i never heard any complaints, but i ran into this dude on here (thehueypilot) and he had the EXACT same problem i did. They didnt cut the back bars long enough on his either.

I called MM to ask them about it, and they said that they have never heard of that. They said every cage is made in a batch and they are made all the same. I sent him pictures and ill show you exactly what i mean...

notice how its too short to weld it right to the wheelwell. Im going to have to cut it and lengthen it to make it work.

Take my advice, if you order it from them, test fit it immediately. If it doesnt seem to line up right, call them right away.

how do you guys with cages fit them in with all the interior pieces. i always see these niceley fitted cages, but wonder what they had to do to obtain that

In a hatch, you have to take the speaker grills out, fit the plastic pieces over the rollbar before you weld it, or cut it so you can move it after the cage is welded... but the way i did it, i had them slide the 1/4 window plastic over the back bars before it was welded. now all i have to do is trim a hole in the speaker grille and fit it around the bar. If i had it all to do over again, i would have went with a cage like the ones from wolfe racecraft that extend to the spare tire wheelwell, or down through the floor to the rear part of the frame... but live and learn i guess.

I setup and welded-in a MM 4pt. cage in my vert. I liked the quality and price, plus everything fit nice. Also, the subframe connectors from them are good quality. MM=:nice:

Yep, i got the MM XL Full length subframes, and have 0 complaints about them. the welder said they were some of the best he'd seen.
