Like them too but only with a skinny up front . And I like to drive the car so that isn't gonna work . Other wise it would have 17in alumastar skinnies and 15in champion speed series with wave single beadlock out back

Really??? Hmm. I've owned several sets of dual pattern wheels. They never offended my eye.

Looking at them again, I'm not as smitten by them as I once was. I used to drool over this one:

I think it's ok now, but I think I could find something I like better. I guess I've seen it too much.

This one I've never seen until now..

It's kinda cool. It still has the dreaded dual pattern though.

True forged are the cat's pajamas, but every time I price them my mouth gets dry and i feel dizzy.

Personally, I think True forged wheels would take your car to world class. It is a very nice car.. Take a car that nice and those wheels just put it there.

I have no input on your New wheel decisions mostly due to a lack of knowledge on the subject.. But I will say, I like your current 4 lug wheels a lot .

They are fun. I have a buddy that has them. The nitro engines are cool, and they even make little superchargers for them. I stay waaaay away though. Too many expensive hobbies as it is.

The other question is do i step down from a 3.55 to say a 3.31 or a 3.27 when i build the rear with the 31 spline carrier . Im thinking 3.31 may be the gear. But would like to hear more educated answers then mine. Sorry the pics are so big. @84Ttop @srtthis @Boosted92LX @hoopty5.0 @madmike1157 @A5literMan

Its always gonna be a street car. But will get some abuse at the track a few times a year. First gear is over right now before you even blink under full power. And eventually if it ever sees the YSI like i plan its gonna make 80 horse more if i had to guess.

Here is the calculations at the rpm I trapped last time I went to the track . I did it with a 17 and if I decide to throw a 275/60/15 on it which i would for the track.

What rpm do you make your most HP and torque? And your examples have a self imposed 5850 rpm limit. Is that your shift point? Max rpm (which I doubt but just asking)? I think there is just a slight performance differential between the 3.27/3.31/3.55's. I do think the 3.31's would probably be the best compromise. First gear rips are going to be darn near impossible on the street no matter what(probably goes for 2nd & 3rd &...lol-Mr YSi).

I do wonder why you want to go the "big blower route" though. Because street car. I think you're being conservative on the power increase. I wouldn't be surprised if you see 650-700+rwhp(depending on pulleys etc). I'm sure you're traction limited as is. Lol. I'd probably keep it more conservative for more "street time". And I'm all for drag strip performance. Just asking?? If this is what you want to do??

Car pulls to 6k and peaked after 5k. The heads are the restriction big time here. 5850 is just where it went too on the first two shake down passes. We all agreed with the tune being super conservative 10.9 that day - inching up on the tune a bit but not being greedy and another 200 rpm on the shifts the car has 130 mph trap in it without a doubt .

The blower comes down the fact of the s trim just is never going to be as efficient as a ysi is . Going to a ysi will not only give me the room to grow way past what ill ever make but at the level i plan on staying at will make it much more effcient and create way less heat.

When I was trying to determine what gear ratio T56 I wanted I used these calculators and looked for 3rd/4th rpm sweet spot at 35-45 mph since you have to be able to drive in that around town, I balanced that with 2k +/- rpm at 65 +/-mph upto to the 75 we all run on the interstate, since thats a general around town and long haul interstate speed, you could do same for rear gear if you trans ratio is set....My SOP says it worked great, 1st is a little quick but speeding in1st and getting there fast, hey thats fun
