project heater core and evap complete . never again . I'll do 100 heater cores . f that evap
Hmmm. I'm thinking that I may have to do this job as well... I will be putting my engine in within the next couple of days but I noticed coolant out of the pee hole on the firewall. I had no prior symptoms of a bad heater core before I took my engine out so I am hoping that some coolant sprayed around when I took out the engine. What do you think?

The one I put in a month ago had the restrictor already installed in the hose. I bought the lmr hoses.
@MikeH686 it's supposed to limit the pressure inside the core to help prevent failure.

I do have the nice labeled LMR hoses with it in tbe hose but truth be told it's still bypassed not worth hooking up when I plan on pulling motor in less then a week or twoJeff did you remember to put the restrictor or a small socket in the hose?
Nope got the LMR one it's all metal with metal tank ends not like the cheap parts store with plastic endsFugg! Did you buy a Ford part and where did you get it? @TOOLOW91
So I am in the process of getting a full v2 s trim kit from a friend of mine for about 1500 . now what I will do is keep my brackets being they are powder coated and sell the A trim as a kit with the rest of the other kit and be Into the s trim head unit for 500 bucks .

They're selling OE Ford ones over there as well now. I don't need one but snagged one while they're available. I've heard (and maybe it's not true) that anything other than a Ford core is a gamble, so when the time comes I'll be ready.
