fiveohwblow you would rather have a N/A car over your S/C car? lancec2c30 i dont know if i did either? but i took the fuel door in and they matched it for me.BUT unfortunitly i had to have them put it in rattle cans cause i dont have a compresser so for a rattle can job it looks way good!5.0Droptop me to! i think with gloss/flat black combo on the motor will go nice!peace

My buddy has his engine bay stripped to bare metal, getting the car ready to paint. I showed him your progress pics. He is going to do something similar I think.

Well the day started bright and early at 6:30 AM thanks to DNADOA Worked on it till about 2 and took a nap,got up picked my daughter up at 4 from school and went back out for about 2 hours. So heres what we/i got done. Bleed all 4 wheel brakes, rivited in the firewall panel (after a few scratches ) installed the motor, then i took the bell housing back off cause the headers wouldnt go in with it on,Found out they will from the bottom with the bell houseing off. I have taken my chances and painted them with dupli color high temp (1200*) with ceramic paint. Hopefully they will hold up? if not it's off to jet coat. Jet hot coat wants $280 for show polished finish plus shipping to and from to AZ but they dont offer white like i want.I really think the white will BAM with the black engine and red bay!?Here are a few pics and also a few of the interior.Tomorrow i hope to install the headers, run the alt wire from the battery, mount the coil, install the trans, drive shaft, exhust, put the new oil filter on and fill it with oil, install the radiator and top it off. Then thats it till i get an electric fan

peace

Thanks bro. I am just super picky so every single flaw I look at bothers me. I guess I have to give my car credit since it is 18 almost 19 years old with original paint... But both yours and mine sitting side by side in my garage is tempting

There is nothing I do you dont see, I have owned the car for almost 7 years and have put 18k on it total.

Car is looking great and progress is coming along. I cant wait to see it!

thanks like i posted previously i really like the turn out of this bay way better then the coupes!I have (HOPEFULLY) about another 20-30 hours and about $100-$200 more and i'll be done with part1 of phase1 of this project! Part2 phase1 will be the tubular k member and arms along with coil overs and a FAT ass sway bar and strut tower brace. Phase 2 part 1 will be the rearend work and i need to get the front and rear bumpers touched up,and final phase and part will me my DIY turbo system! My goal is to have the car 100% done with all the phase's complete this time next year! We'll have to get a get together this winter one night when it's dry! I'll post in our section (like that will do any good) in a few months. peace

you dont want too big a sway bar as it will hurt your cars front suspension by not letting it move up and down, i suggest a properly matched spring/strut/sway bar combo

Picked up a fan today but the dam thing is way to big, so tomorrow i'll take it back and get a tauras one. Today i got the trans in headers on radiator in alt hooked up.Tomorrow i'll get the correct fan, install the driveline, hook up the + for the alt, hook up the MAF wire, hook up the coil, hook up the clutch cable, install the shifter, and fire it up!

peace
