Getting there. MM arms are on. Steeda sway bar with new end links are on. Fresh brakes with shiny painted calipers, new dust shields and stainless brake lines are on but not yet bled. Went ahead and got a bump steer kit "since I was in there." Stiffer coilover springs installed. Hubs are fresh Moog units as of last fall.

Like a dummy, I ordered a full 94-95 Cobra stainless brake hose kit. Drrr, the rear hoses no worky on an IRS. So the rear stainless hoses will be here this week and I can swap them in and get things bled. The rear brakes are nearly new, so I only plan to paint the calipers and rotor hats for a cleaner appearance, like the front.

I also have a Stifflers transmission crossmember to replace my l
hogged out stock one. Now that I've invested so much in this car, those little hacks bug me.

I've made a few updates, and strapped it on the chassis dyno.

First, some new wheels and tires. The Michelin tires ended up running much narrower than anticipated, so the 285s are moving up to the front 9.5" wheels, and I have 315s on order for the rear 10.5" wheels.

The Super Victor intake with 90° elbow and 90mm throttle body really killed low end torque, and also made low rpm drivability not so great.

I ended up going with a Victor EFI intake and an 80mm Accufab TB. I knew I was trading off that high RPM horsepower, but didn't realize just how much until last Friday on the dyno. I modified a BBK catted H pipe to fit my Mac longtubes, and replaced the now too quiet Magnaflows with Jones Full Boar mufflers. I actually love the sound, and lack of fuel smell from the exhaust.

I have to upload the vid to YouTube, so bear with me. I was expecting 430-450 at the tire based on 567 at the crank (with the old intake setup) on the engine dyno. I was slightly let down only hitting 402. Even more so seeing the power drop off at 6000 RPM, where it was still climbing at 6700 with the old intake setup. Needless to say, E85 and a Vortech are in the cards for next year.

I could have sworn somewhere in this thread you had your combination posted? I will double check and look because it seems like if I didn't see it or I hadn't see it already I would have asked you what your setup was but in case I don't, what is your cam specs and what heads are you running?

Also does Edelbrock still make the victor efi? Googling it couldn't find anything

It's not bad. It plugs right in where the stock computer was. You need a vacuum line plumbed into the car as the MAP sensor is built into the MS2 versus the stock MAP sensor being under the hood. For the wideband, you just pin a power and a ground off the MS2 options port, and thats it. Mine were pins 25 and 26, but not sure I'd the Fox version is different or not.
Is a wide band need it or is that just something you want? To be honest I'm not even familiar of exactly what the heck exactly a wide band is I've never researched it and off the top of my head I would think that it would probably be something to check the air fuel ratio and to check other specs?

Why what I want one? Right now I'm thinking about a 363 possibly if I go that route versus a 331 since my builder is likely having trouble still finding a good stock block. I'm not totally sure but I'm just trying to get some ducks in order just in case I go that route and just buy a dart.

I could have sworn also you told me your combination and so I just went back through this thread and I'm going to go off of what I think. Okay so you had the Victor EFI set up with a 90 mm elbow that you didn't like the way it drive and you said that a tune with e85 and the blower was in the works and that also you were going to go with either an Edelbrock intake or the TFS R not the box.

Then I read a little bit later where you had a fresh engine done and the tune with e85 and got your AC going matched up with the MS2. So yeah when you get a minute tell me exactly what setup you have right now heads intake cam blower or no blower, and hp/tq numbers? Also would be good to see a pic of your engine. I'm thinking about keeping the elbow setup on my I'm not going to necessarily go to a fox throttle body

I have a Dart block, forged Scat crank (internally balanced), forged H beam rods, Bullet forged pistons from Vigilante, Ed Curtis cam, AFR 205 heads, Morel linked hydraulic lifters, hardened pushrods, 1.6 roller rockers, and the Edelbrock Victor EFI intake, and 80 mm Accufab throttle body. 1 3/4" Mack longtubes, 2.5" Prochamber, and 2.5" cat back. My rods and pistons are not lightweight, and I've learned that does rob power. After my engine refresh, I had the rings gapped for boost, and my compression is 11.2:1. I do plan on a Vortech at some point, but for now its N/A and on E85.

Finally just made it back to the dyno today where it made 456 rwhp, and 419 rwtq. As you can see in the graph, the power drops off at 6300, because of the Victor EFI intake. With the Super Victor and elbow it would make more power at higher RPM, but when are you running above 6300 on the street just daily driving? To each their own, but i like my torque curve for the street.

For s and giggles, my tuner sent me a graph overlaying his 6.2 N/A LS (376 CI) from his 2007 Caddilac CTS-V. He just rebuilt it with a bigger cam than mine, but with ported stock heads and intake. For being the almighty LS with more cubes, its not much more powerful. However, goes to show how good the stock LS heads and intake are. He is obviously the higher of each the hp and tq.

Man those are some great numbers and I'm with you about for the street, that's all I need. Do they still make the victory EFI intake?

You probably could have made similar numbers with a systemx2 or performer 2, or no?

I think the Victor EFI is the shortest runner 302 based EFI intake with the exception of a carb style with an elbow. So the Systemax 2 or Performer 2 would choke it even more up high. Not sure if they would help torque or not. I suppose a lot of it depends on cam specs. That is a subject I know next to nothing about.

Oh I see. Do they still even make the victory EFI?

The builder in Texas I'll tell you man he's like a mad scientist guru in a lab talking about all the things he talked about with AirSpeed and velocity and ports and stuff like that and he seems to from what I've gathered from him he can pretty much take any combination and move some things around and do things different ways to wear it was still benefit you overall
