ok im stuck like everyone else...
Im keeping my stock h-pipe,please don't try to convince me,i can buy an off road later i just need to save money for something else and an off road isn't that necessary. and since im running nothing but an h-pipe(bought it like that) i need a cat back..plus a stock hpipe will help to keep it quite since my options are the loudest...
ok
option one...
SLP loudmouth II catback....almost 600.00$$$$

option two
MAC 2.5 Pro Dumps

Option three
pypes violator cat back...

thanks-
keep in mind I hate HATE hate!!! flowmaster sound. love growl, but not drone, AND salute the 4.6 modular sound. they are so deep and rumble like a upset stomach

bullets sounds effing amazing on the stock H pipe...that's what my dad has and i love it... ill see if i can get a small video for you..idle and rev..no driving car is put away for the winter...

get a set of bullets, get a set of tail pipes take them to a muffler shop and have them welded.

If you don't like drone ,you don't want mac at all or anything dumped. Of that group I'd say violators. But Ultra flo or bullets may be a better choice.

Yea dumps is gonna be 100 times worse than any flowmaster you ever heard.

I have flows and have ZERO drone ..But thats me.

A good exhaust is also the dynomax ultra flow setup..Nice rumble and sounds good. But some have complained about drone on them too.

bullets will be louder than the violaters i assume???
i could do some flow tubes to some bullets and then have shop weld something out the back... but i would rather buy s system, cause the total cost would be up there....
im thinking i like the violators dound but with a stock h-pipe it might not be enough for me......i think SLP wil be the loudness i want but not the sound...
are bullets similar to loudmouth?
heres what im going for, except my cam is stock for now but you can hear the tone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOyHMj0Be78&feature=related

and i love the ssound of this at idle MORE than anything, but at rev its gets a little out of hand...

trust me....if you like deep, with a little rasp bullets are the way to go..

oh and i hace mac pro chamber,flows...i paid 100 bucks for both...then tails for 40 bucks...i have a header back for 140...unless you want to factor in the new o2's i put in along with gas to pick up and go and have tails put on...and i got to say..its pretty tame while cruising but when your on it it sounds very nice...

same with my dads bullets...at wot its something else.

Makdaddymac- I thought you said you hated flowmasters, yet in the video of what you want your car to sound like, the red lx has flowmasters. Anyway are you stuck on those three choices or can we suggest something else?

JEGS brand offroad h-pipe $120. JEGS flowtubes for $30. 2 Dynomax ultra flo race mufflers for $144. Then down the road add a set of Stainless tailpipes, $150 through Jegs also. Less than $450 and everything is shiny and new.

i open for opinions on other brands, if it can get the sound im looking for. i really dont want to invest more than 500.00 though.
well i hate flow master cause it has a tinny sound, no one is answering if a custom bullet system would sound the same as SLP catback???? im guessing it would/.. be similar.

The best mod to make the exhaust sound good...

The MOTOR.

Bullitts on a stock motor will sound loud, Flowmaster 3 chambers on a race motor will absolutly sound better, a ton better. Trying to get an insane sound out of a stock motor is tough, it will never sound like a race motor.

This is absolutly correct! As I stated in the other exhaust thread you started, Heads and cam make more of a impact on sound than mufflers.

I told you exactly how to do it in your other thread! The problam is it takes $1500 worth of parts to do it,and you want it for $500. I guess if you can do a 4.6swap for 500 bones have at it. We are trying to help. You just won't listen.

I agree getting exactly what you want on a budget wont happen... You need to give a little on either the money side, or the "what I want" side. I wanted to have a 4.6 sound, got Spintechs, and although it doesn't sound like a 4.6 it does sound good to me.
