this is the most ideal clip i found yet...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=-8EXVu2YrQ4

i was looking for a magnapack cat back, for foxes. but they only do sn95 an up..

my question is will a magnapack sn95 kit work on a fox??? i heard it before but not sure...

I prefer the above recommendation of piecing together your own cat-back. Not only cheaper in the long run, but you get exactly what you want.

As far as muffs go, I prefer:

1. Pypes Violators
2. Hooker Maximum Flow/Dynomax Ultra Flow (almost exactly the same design and sound)
3. Anything by Spintech
4. Magnaflows
5. Edelbrock RPM's

Most of these will sound better behind an off-road X-pipe than an off-road H-pipe, IMO, but they all sound quite good on a stock motor; almost anything behind a built motor, on the other hand, can sound awesome (even a plain ol' set of Dynomax Super Turbos).

Posting videos of 4.6s wont help you find what you want. If you want a sound sort of like that I would say look into off road midpipe and Magnaflow mufflers. The ones you have posted on here sound much different from eachother. The last one was mellow and deep, whereas the ones you posted earlier the fox sounded typical of a fox, and the new edge was louder and raspier...

You will need a x-pipe or prochamber to even get close to the sound you want. Magnaflow or ultra flo mufflers will get you in the ballpark.

What would actually be better for a high pitched sound? I heard a vette the other month that was absolutely the sickest I've ever heard.

I'm past the low grumbly stuff... I'd like something more elegant? European?

Absolutely correct....

Thing is I don't want to crack open this one for quite a while yet because it's only got 35k miles. I would just like to pick up some better audio for my ears... that's all. So I've been searching this site and various others for opinions and clips. It's tough to find cat back examples on stock cars... or at least ones with the factory h pipe and cats.

I'm reading that Bassani is the "chit". But it's big money.. especially for the stainless stuff.

I've gotta find stock examples of Spintech and SLP...

I ran a cut up stock H I made for emissions with my dumped Spintechs, and it sounded terrible. I was so glad to get the off road X back on there.

Long tubes, prochamber or X pipe(I would lean toward the chamber) and spintech pro's would be my suggestion.

Thats what I run now, LTs, O/R and Spintech Pro Streets... I like the sound, but it really isn't deep, more high pitch and raspy. A prochamber would definately be deeper sounding.

I had the chamber. It was mellow until cam change. Then it got very high pitched and twice as loud. It was a sound to fap to.

any body know what a pro chamber and mac dumps would do????
i think an x-pipe/prochamber and magnaflow catback is what i'll do, but it just dawned on me that a prochamber might mellow out the mac system/flow sound to my liking???

ps. if i do get a full cat back with pipes out the ass, i would want the lx style pipes, but obviously it wont work with a gt bumper.....
my questions are could i just buy an LX catback, to use with a cobra style rear bumper and be straight, or are they equipped with dif. hanger spots etc. etc.
