On the road again

I sitting here killing time waiting for the UPS guy to bring me some parts. My inspection sticker expired the 1st of september and I havent had the time or driven the stang since. It all started with taking the h-pipe off and putting the cats back on to get it inspected. Now I have stripped studs on my shortys and I don't want to try torching the studs with the headers on the eng. All I want to do is drive it one more time before it snows.... Laying rubber in the driveway is'nt the same

Yeah it sucks when a simple project turns into waiting for the (insert carrier of choice) to show up with your parts.

Well, whether or not it's a sham, you really need to live in a state that doesn't inspect for safety or test for emissions. Then wonder when the state you live in will adopt the mandatory emissions law that'll force the neglected, smokin'-ass, carbon monoxide spewing, dangerous piece of sh**t that's in front of you, OFF THE Fking ROAD.

I realize that there are drawbacks to having to keep your vehicle emission legal, but once you live in a "inspection free" state, maybe you'll come to appreciate the reason for the sniffer test.

We don't have the sniffer yet but if your car came with cats on it they have to be there for inspection. I live 5 mins from ohio and see the the cars that are on the road over there.They don't have state inspections.
I think they are a good idea they keep everyone safer on the road but its just a pain

Safety is one thing and smog inspection is another. If its dangerous to other drivers then I understand them not being on the road. If its a danger to the person behind the wheel then that's their choice. When are we going to stop nannying everybody? When smoking is banned? How about soda's? Soft drinks cause weight problems and diabetes. Like steak? That will give you high cholesterol. Enjoy a hamburger with bacon? Forget it! Too many are willing to sacrafice freedoms for safety. To hell with that. I'll be over here eating my steakburger bacon wrapped sandwich while smoking a cigarette with a large dr pepper while my loaded pistol sits on the picnic table (made of chopped down trees, not aluminum) and revving my mustang.

Actually, I grew up in one, and nobody seemed to mind much. We learned to care for our own cars, and when they were dangerous to drive, we didn't drive them. I don't need the government holding my hand and telling me when my car is "safe." It's a pointless, vote garnering system of legislation that only brings people down. And frankly, it's a slippery slope.
