OT: Do I have a chance against my friends Acura?

Ok guys. Here's the deal. My friend has challenged me to a race at the track. He has a 2001 Acura TL Type s with an automatic. It is bone stock.

I have a 94 GT AODE with:

-3.73's
-K&N w/ removed silencer
-Flowtech Mufflers (geez I can't wait to get a Bassani Catback )
-Nitto 555's all the way around (when we race)

Do I have a chance at beating him? I know he has 260 hp, but he has no experience racing at the track and he's talkin alot of smack. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think he's got more top end, but there's no way his car is geared close to 3.73. You got him in the quarter, and thats all that matters, never mind that sissy role bs.

i run one on the street when my car was stock, they aren't that quick. they are pretty heavy for hteir torque rating, and you know torque is what gets that weight moving

Heres what motor trend came up with for 1/4 mile times.
260hp @ 6100rpm
232torque @ 3500rpm
14.8 @ 96.5

I'll just have to race him and see. Stu, yah it is a CL. I don't know what I was thinking...

I'm definitly getting those Nitto 555's or another z-rated tire before we race. My bald Falken's don't hook up worth crap.
