Does anyone know what it would take to fill in the gap in a Mach 1 hood? (Got this idea from some other thread on here a while back) I've worked with fiberglass before and was thinking it might be possible to make a thick enough sheet of fiberglass to mount on the underside of the hood and then fill in the space up to the top of the hood (either with fiberglass or filler or a combination of both). I was thinking it would make for an interesting and unique look. Any thoughts/opinions?

And if someone wanted to do a quick photoshop of a Mach 1 with a solid hood removing the scoop, that'd be cool too.

It might look good.Would have to see a shop on one done.
And i wouldn't do it from the bottom, i would start from the top, this way you would just have to smooth, and feather it to blend it nicely.

Put a piece of plexiglass on there so you can see the engine

No, I'm not really a fan of the cowl hoods as they end abruptly at the windshield, whereas the Mach 1 hood comes back down at the back of the hood.

There was a silver car on the corral that had this a few years ago. Looked amazing.
