I meet a new hood too. I've been fixing stress cracks and stuff on my current hood for the last 15 years. I just can't bearing myself to spend the money on one. I remember when you could get one new for 300 bucks.
Ya there’s still some cheap ones out there but I didn’t want fittment issues or a flimsy hood so I decided to bite the bullet and get the cerviniI meet a new hood too. 2.5” I’ll have a buddy of mine paint it or actually he’ll help me, I’ll prime it and block it. He’ll give me some time behind the gun so I can learn a little. I’ll cut and buff it myselfLooks good.
How big of a cowl 3-4" ?
Going to paint it yourself ?
BFHQuestion for tko users. So stifflers crossmember with their tko install kit give you spacers to raise the back of the trans like an inch. Well that pushes the trans into the tunnel. I’m considering turning those spacers down an 1/8-1/4” how did you guys handle this? @90sickfox did you have this issue
Well ya that’s an option LOL. I may end up doing that
My TKO maybe sits about an inch away from the tunnel. I'll eventually go to the Stifflers unit, but unsure if the spacer kit will work or not, trial and error I guess.Well ya that’s an option LOL. I may end up doing that
Mine was similar, do you have the MM cable?Clutch cable question. I have a non adjustable cable and had to turn the adjuster almost all the way out to get the slack out. Anybody have this issue?
I don’t think it’s an mm cable. It is the non adjustable type like factory. What did you end up doingMine was similar, do you have the MM cable?
I have an aluminum bell. I do already have a double hook quadrant installed when I did the adjuster a while back. I’ll crawl under the dash and move the cable. Thanks for the help!!!Are you using a steel bellhousing ? If you are there needs to be a spacer where the cable housing Mets the bellhousing. It'll take out the slack. If not you need a double hook quadrant so you can move the cable at the pedal to remove slack.
I run a tko600 with aluminum bell, firewall adjuster, double hook quadrant, and stock cable.
