Progress Thread SN95 "Project Father & Son" 1994 GT

B is progressive and C is linear rate
Both have same drop, if you wouldn’t mind could you toss up a pic of your 94 with the C?

Actually my best friend ordered the C springs for my birthday. They arrive on July 5th.

Here is a pic of my 94 with the C springs. Plus I had the 16" waffles wheels with 245-50-16 all around (read had drag radials).

Yup. The way the car looked it was very unexpecting to everyone which was the plan. Had it for 17 years, had no miles on it and it's hard to see these pics since I had such a perfect car. Lots of regrets selling that one. I'll get this one up to my standards though. It took me 17 years to get that one perfect, this one is in much rougher shape.

Episode 2 YouTube video is coming soon, subscribe to the SN95 Mustang Garage channel. Here is a preview of the stuff in it.

The battery didn't have the tie down block because the tray bottom bolts were rusted inside with no heads. That was fun getting them out.

The stupid gear shifter knob had a cheezy message on it.

The pedal covers were hideous.

The gas cap had some sort of lock that was stripped and needed a flat screwdriver just to get it off.

We addressed all that. I got more parts coming which will be in Episode 3.

Then I got the flu, I'm totally contagious so nobody is allowed in my bedroom except my black Lab "Shelby" who's very concerned with my health. She has been laying either with me or on me for two days now.

We replaced this cheezy shifter knob with something correct. Who makes this garbo? Must be from "Fast N The Furious" movies.

Changed the bootlip pedal covers with proper stock pads until we can decide on what we're going to put on there. Another hideous item that came with the car.

My son worked on the hood we picked up last Sunday. It came out quite good. There is only one spot that needs filler on the entire hood, just a rock chip.

Since I've had the flu my dog has been very concerned. She normally doesn't leave my side but since I've been sick she's really stayed close.

I've been in bed the last 4 days with the flu but decided to get out, go in the garage and sweat out the rest of this flu.

Unfortunately it didn't last long.

I was only able to do a wire tuck on the passenger side. The remaining wire up top is the smog vacuum crap which is all getting pulled off in the next few days. We are taking the exhaust off and selling the x-pipe and SLP cat back.

We are also repainting most of the engine bay when the motor is apart during the Edelbrock intake install. I already talked to the Auto Paint Store.

A little progress today.

I have to say, I'm impressed with SLP exhaust the way it's pieced together.

So it comes off in sections starting from the tip, 15MM bolt clamp then go to the next section, then the next. No need to jack the car up, no fishing pipes over the axle. Why isn't every exhaust like this?

Anyway, it's off, my son is going to clean it up then it goes on Craigslist, OfferUp and LetGo.

Another thing bothering me that I had to address today is this mess. Dude before me put hood pins in but the studs broke off and left this crap. I put rubber grommets on there for now until I can buy the hood level posts.

I'm painting the engine bay so I need to make all these fixes.

The Parts Safari continues.

We found a Flowmaster American Thunder cat back local for $100. Couple of downsides. One, the tailpipes were painted black (see before & after pics). Second, the guy took the entire kit off with the rear end removed so it's welded in one piece. I may have to cut it just to install it, don't think I can fish this thing over the rear.

Best news of all, my Edelbrock Performer Intake is finally home!!!! If you've seen the picture of my Vibrant Red Supercharged pic above you'll see this RPM intake. That pic was taken in 2002. I sold this to my friend and he's had it since 2005. I hooked up with him yesterday and bought it back.

Got lots of parts coming in today (July 5th).

Come on, I can't believe you didn't think 'man, karthief needs this shift knob' ! I need all the useless junk, er, stuff I can get.

Dude, you have sheds full of parts, they are inside the rafters. Useless junk is exactly some of the bootlip stuff that's come with this car. I swear I must be the only guy who cared about the 94-95's cars.
