Thanks for the good and informative input that you've given on my previous threads. Best of luck to you in the future and hope to see you around again!

There are times that this board had me pissed off at some of the stupid people that I was ready to do as you did. I did take a break from the board for awhile and I don't post as much Tech as I did. The only time I post Tech now is if I see something horribly wrong and a few others supporting it.

Hate to see you go man. I've picked up some good information from reading your posts, and you have been a great contribution to SN.

I as well have been spending much, much less time on here. When I first got my GT I was on non-stop, but now I am spending most of that time on a few local boards.

It's nothing to discredit StangNet, but it seems like MANY valuable members have moved on to different parts of their lives, different vehicles, or whatever the circumstances may be. We still have quite a few great, contributing and very knowledgeable members, but this place has slowed way down and there is a ton more asshattery on here now than before.

Good luck man, but I also suggest leaving your SN open, especially if you're getting back into the Mustang scene.

Winters98GT - First of all, goodluck on your new build.

Before you leave though, just remember that all message boards go through changes and wind up being something "different" from when you first register. They evolve over time. Some for the better and some of the worse I guess. There's a lot of reasons why boards evolve and it's difficult to pin it on one reason. Sometimes it's a newer generation of posters that come aboard or maybe veteran posters leave the board for whatever reason (different car project, life events, etc, etc). Know what I mean?

I've seen a lot of changes here in my 8+ years on SN as well and continue to enjoy it - even though the board has a "different" feel from when I first registered. Hope you decide to pop in and visit every so often down the road...

Agreed ... couldn't have said it better. Boards and people evolve as time marches on. I for one, always valued reading your posts as well, but I'll just hope you come back to enlighten someone else.
Good luck on that 2V project! I'll be dusting mine off too .. may need some inputs.

HEY! Where's everybody going? I'm a noobie and sorry if i ran you guys off. I researched all the stang sites for months before I bought my first Mustang and this is the one that was the most user friendly to browse, search and post on. Even though I'm a non-wrenching noob, I try not to ask too many stupid questions. But even us noobs need to know what to look out for in our new stangs. Was this site supposed to be solely performance oriented or something?

No, its more of the giving advice that does not make any sense and is completly wrong when it does make sense.
A new member signs up asking for help, another new member gives him advice that it completly off track because they fail too see how much they dont know.
If someone is 18 and on their first Stang then dont try to help out with tech problems or common Mustang issues you know nothing about (not saying you). There are some acceptions like Ryan, hes had enough Foxes and done enough work where I will trust him on Fox info and hes only 17.

The bigger issue comes from when a member that we all know, knows what he is saying and gives sound advice yet that noob will come back and tell him hes wrong when its the n00b that is very wrong. When its followed up by another n00b or non-friend that says " " that only aggervates the issue more cause now the new member (or old) that asked the question is now under the assumption that the wrong answer was in fact the right answer because the n00b backed it up with non-sense and was further backed up by a dumb ass that agreed with him.

It has been happening allot lately and I am tired of seeing good members leave because of it. If these good members would stay then there would be more correct answers and knowledge to overcome the idiot answers with no knowledge.

Just my .02 and I may be wrong.
