Ok so I FINALLY figured my gauge cluster out!! After about 3 months of not workin on my car because of the wiring mess I had to go through I finally got my tach working and my volt gauge and all the rest of the gauges fully functional! Now its time to loom up the harness and get the dash in then all I got is paint and interior work!!!!!! The links are the two videos I took of the cluster working.

Dude!!!

You should have taken detailed notes and made a how to man! I would love to know how to match up a new edge cluster to the harness in the car. I'd want to do an interior swap SOOOO bad but the wiring scares me. Please tell me you did?

Na, too confusing to make a how to thing. lol Basically just think about it alot and understand the wiring diagrams. They get confusing but then it just pops in your head and you get it.

Ok to bring some up to date. I JUST finished taping up the dash harness. Everything worked when the harness was in the car by itself so lets all hope it all works now that its situated in the dash now. I will be putting the dash in the car next week and getting all my autometer gauges working and hooking up my start button and getting the carpet down and everything! What I nightmare this swap was. I will post pics up of the dash in the car as soon as I can. Then off to doing body work and finishing the car up!!!

Ok all, finally some more progress pics! I got the dash wiring figured out and got everything bolted in and dyed and the car runs and moves itself! Well, the brakes aren't done but thats for another day. I'm EXTREMELY happy with it, just have to finish my cluster bezel cause I'm waiting for my new oil pressure gauge to come in but once thats in I just have to do a few small odds and ends but for the most part the SN dash swap is FINISHED!!!!! Here are a few pictures!! I guess its on to body work and paint and finish the brakes and do the door panel and she's good to go!!!!!!

The bezel is not screwed in right now, its just laying in there, thats why the speedo and tach are cut off.

Let me know what you guys think!!!!

The funny thing is I had a full mint black fox interior and decided to sell it and do this. I'm really happy with it tho, it feels like a completely different car when you sit in it.

what are you going to do with the hatch area to make it blend in with the S/N front part?Did you haveto trim any off the dash to make it fit? Or are they the same width?I think i'm looking at my new project now THANKS peace

I had to trace the front of the fox dash onto a peice of cardboard and then transfer that to the front of the sn dash. I was able to save enough room so I have the defroster vent still in place. Theres no exact way of doing it, just some head scratching and ALOT of mocking up and taking back out. It was a HUGE job. The wiring was the biggest pain in the ass. And if you do it solder EVERY connection. Butt connectors always end up pulling out and end up screwing you in the end. I spent about two days replacing butt connectors with a good soldered connection.

If you do it and have any questions feel free to give me a shout!

Thanks man! I'm getting a C2 tach and air fuel gauge to replace the ones I have so they match my cluster better. And that was a good cruise, minus a few incidents here and there. lol Hope to be out in the 88 in the spring!!!!

And yea its a ttop car. Pretty much the only reason I bought it, actually, it ended up being free from selling parts I didn't need off of it!!!
