Guys one of my OEM 17x8 bullitt rims are bent slightly , which causes severe steering wheel wobble under breaking at highway speeds. At first I thought it was a warped rotor but the breaks were redone a while back and my brake guy said the rotors are good. At Discount Tire they found the culprit, the rim is bent on the inside slightly and they couldn't balance the tire to the rim. Sooo I have decided that instead of buying a new OEM rim I want two 17x10.5 Bullitt rims from American Muscle. My question is would you think 315 size tires that they sell for them would look goofy and be to much for a mostly stock 2v? Will I gain better traction or will I just kill my 3.73 gear for looks? Ultimately my goal is to have decent 13 second car at the track and I know our cars when they are n/a can use all the help they can get, so I dont wanna hurt myself big time by just going with looks.
So what other sizes can I get for the 17x10.5 rim and will I have rubbing issues? I also I want to eventually lower the car with either Eibachs or H&R springs with new isolators, struts and shocks.
