So Rog (Green 94 5.0) and I had an interesting morning (started at 9AM). The first Harbor Freight didn't have a lift. The next closest HF was a 1 hour round trip. I had borrowed my neighbors Dodge Ram which ate up $16 in gas (we stopped for gas twice). We got to my house at 12, had the lift together in 20 minutes. So 4 hours later we start working on the car. We have the engine and tranny out in 10 minutes. The k-member was another 12 minutes. We got into a snag with the stock A arms but knew that going in. Rog put his spring perch in the wrong way. After grinding, banging and fitting the A arms are on as well as the 10 way adjustable Strange struts. The Steeda bump steer kit was on back order, should have it this week. Have some loose ends then we start prepping the engine bay for paint. Motor should arrive after that.

Here are the pics.

Then I dropped the car on Roger. He was OK and still able to work.

Rog got me back or was trying to get a ball shot, I'm not sure.

Yea, lets stop for a pic in the middle of it.

I'm sure I'll be mentioned in the next Home Owners Meeting.
ive found out the hard way already where i live. as long as the work is being done under your roof (in the garage), they can say absolutely nothing. now if we were doing it out in the driveway, that would be a totally different story. at any rate, saturday may be the day to get the small things done on my car and get the rest of joe's front suspension together.

Nice work guys...sorry it took so long to reply, but I didnt see this tread.

What do you guestimate the weight difference to be.
I think you should chrome that stocker and sell it to JR :rlaugh:

That was some hot chick next door's T/A. She has some T/A too (ask Rog).

Rob, the weight savings was huge. It was heavy enough for the garbage man to leave it. It's still out by the mailbox. I have to bring it tonight. Probably saved 40-50 lbs off the nose. If I would have put tubular A arms on it would have been more.
