What gears did 4 cyl fox bodies come with???

I'm wondering what gears the 4 cyl fox bodies came with. I'm pretty sure the 5-speed cars came with 3.73's but I'm not sure what the automatics came with and i was hopeing someone could help me out. Thanks for the help....

automatics had the 3.73s
5speeds had the 3.55s

i thought i read one time that they came w/ 2.26's or something? I've never heard of that gear, but it's hard to imagine that my old 91 4 banger auto had 3.73's...

Yea they need the 3.73's just to get out of there own way

I'm only kidding, they move decently for the 90 or so horsepower they had....

3.55:1 is for an 8.8" rear. Four cylinder (and six cylinder) Mustang never had a 8.8" rear. So no four (or six) cylinder would have had a 3.55:1 gearset.

3.45:1 is for a 7.5" rear. All four cylinder (and six cylinder) Mustangs after '82 got a 7.5" rear.
