Quick random question that has puzzled me since I bought my fox. It's a 93 notch, originally a 4 cylinder. Why are the panels near the windshield wipers white colored? I've noticed every other fox I see they match the body color. This car was always red according to the vin. Also its weird that the roof looked whitish too. Any incite?
I took a picture of an old picture of my car that's why is looks crappy lol

It was damaged at some point in it’s life and someone did some sort of repair.

Pull the cowl panel trim off and see if it’s red underneath.

It is red underneath the cowl. And those white panel pieces dont look painted white. I guess I explained it wrong. From the pic you can kind of see it looks like faded black, but they never were red.

looks like the hood flew up at some point and smashed the cowl area.

What's weird though is there is no damage, no dents or any signs I see of damage. Just different paint colors.

you can clearly see the bondo work done, if you tap the panel with your knuckle it will sound hollow where the bondo is.

Oh ok, yeah I see what you mean now. It did sound hollow. So I guess the hood flew up or something like you said.

Look at the center wiper mount. You can see the rusted bare spots on the edges where the metal was bent and the paint flaked off. Looks like it was straightened and bondo ed up at some point
